I guess living somewhere where you can have nice things whether you pay too much for them or not, is better than a place you pay more for things not as nice.

I wouldn't know, I've never been to California.

Spitfire is alright... It's nothing overly special though.

Doom Bar is far better.

Doom Bar would be an awesome name for a drinking establishment.

Sounds a lot better than the pubs we have here called things like: The Elephant & Castle, The Rose & Crown, The Dog & Duck etc..

I would suggest 'Jon boat' by intuition for people who like "American" light beers from macros. It's along the same lines in terms of taste (but better) and is actually made here in America (Jacksonville actually) and sold by an American company.

We have a little spot here in town called Gwar Bar. And yes, it's from that Gwar. Pretty wild place to grab a beer.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Intuition is great, we're charter mug club members.  John Boat is really their only bad beer just because they're intentionally trying to replicate a "light American lager" for people who don't like good beer.  Try the Underdark if you can get a hold of any.  It's hard to find though because it's in such high demand.  Smile

I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

Good. I love a good beer, but never cared for those watered down macro-brews. Now Busch beer actually isn't that bad, but I'm still more of a micro-brew guy. The worst if Michelob. That stuff is straight nasty.

It was inevitable this thread would turn into a beer snobfest.

I'm still searching around Google for a beer that no one has ever heard of, which I'll claim is the best one I've had

I'll open up a thread about cheap, mass-produced Mexican strains of pot just for you.

Portland has some of the best breweries. Then you blow it by stating Busch is not only a beer, but a good beer. Unless you meant for beer can chicken on the grill.

Very much enjoyed.

Ok. You're not a Brit. A good, slow pulled black n tan would have been my guess. Coors? Well, the original is passable. The Lite is weak hop infused Perrier water. Then again, different strokes,eh?

I like a lot of Ale, and a lot of 'bitter'.. however, not and then, a fizzy weak hop can be well received, given circumstances.
