I'm only 12 points off of my dropped week so far for this week. Good start, hope to finish just as good...

Hey, I managed to get 95 points despite not getting picks in for Turkey-Day.   ( I was over the river and through the woods in no wi-fi land for the holidays  Smile )

Nice picks, Rico!!

Funny thing is, I didn't like the games. And I think that was my high point total for the year.

I know how to immediately start making bad picks. Put money on them.

I stink, I stink, I stink! Picking against the grain big time is getting me burned.

It's hard to look at the standings.

Rico is slaughtering us. He has to have a few Ref's in his pocket. Wink

I had a pretty good week, gained no ground on him.

:thanks:    I'm sure I'll find a way to screw it up and end up ranked 20th again. LOL.

Nice picking D6. Didn't think I could be passed in one week, especially since I didn't really have too bad of a week. Early games bit my rear.

 Thanks, RicoCabesa.

It wouldn't surprise me if the contest came down to the Super Bowl and that at least one other person in the contest, is in the thick of the race to win the contest going into the Super Bowl. From week to week,  it feels like a roller coaster when it comes to the results of this contest.

From the standpoint of the contest,  I was fortunate that 3 of my 4 losses,  Detroit, Oakland,  and Dallas,  were for a combined 7 confidence points.  The Steelers loss to the Dolphins cost me 9 confidence points,  which is significant in a contest that's this close.

Congrats to everyone that ended up finishing ahead of me this week.

That is the key right there. Making sure the games you pick incorrectly are the low confidence point ones. I have had several weeks where I have lost some big time points.

Fortunately the ones that I missed were only midrange games. I got most of my high pointers or I really would have taken a dive.

Hey. I can't complain no matter what. I was hanging around 35th place or so, 7 or 8 weeks ago.

The Confidence Point facet of this contest is one of my favorite aspects of the contest.  Unlike many other contests when you basically just select the winners of each game, a lead in this contest can disappear very quickly.   It's a challenge for all of us to sustain success over the course of the long season,  especially because of the confidence points facet.

Well, everyone bombed last night. Some a little more than others though.

I really thought Denver would win. They were at home, still fighting for the #1 overall.

Dan Patrick called it.

Glad to see TMD back in the picks.
