Gus Bradley Back in 2016

Quote:Another one who doesn't attend games, but rants here. It's not about who pays the most, it's those who show up, sit in the end zones, nose bleed seats and suffer and celebrate together.

You wouldn't understand.

Actually I do understand as I was a sth way before all the new amenities. Regardless of wether I attend or not I have a say. I'm an nfl consumer and more specifically a Jacksonville Jaguars consumer. So Ill be damned if you tell me or anyone else that we dont have a day or opinion. My dollars still count and there's not a thing you can do about it.

Quote: If this plays itself out the way you think it will, who would you like to see the Jaguars hire as HC in 2017 that you think will be available?

Tough question I can't answer right now. Of course there are the usual suspects, but I don't think either of those guys will ever coach again.

Coaches get paid to coach (when smart enough)

Quote:IMO, Khan knows Gus can't get it done but also know one more year of accumulating talent in the draft and FA could legitimately attract a big name coach in 2017.

I really hope so. I'll never root against my jags. But if that's the way it goes then it'll be a silver lining.

I can laugh at your $4.99. And we all know what opinions are like. You have a huge one.

Quote:Hence the "former" part of his title. He is not a defensive coordinator and doesn't scheme/call plays/formations/etc. on game day.

I wouldn't bother pulling up any more stats. Just look at the big picture. The team is not as bad as it was 3 years ago period.

If the Jags were a corporation on the NYSE, would you invest?

Will you root for them?

That's why you are not a coach (not smart enough).

As for your first line, why wouldn't he help with all of that?  I'd say that is part of his damn job.

I will pull up more stats because I was curious for myself.  Sure it's not as bad as it was 3 years ago but it's not THAT much better.  I strongly feel the talent on offense is performing well in spite of the coaching inefficiencies for the most part.  That is my opinion and only my opinion obviously.  I think Bortles, ARob, Hurns etc are highly talented players that are performing at a high level and would do so no matter what.

Is it right to question the intelligence of anybody who is against bringing Gus back?

I called you cold chump. I predicted your next move way in advance. I'm playing Chess while your playing Chinese checkers.

Sooooooo

The plan is to acquire the most talented team possible regardless of who is coaching?

Or am I missing something with Bradley?

Babich better be gone then.  I'm sure we'll get a focus on defense in the offseason, though I hope we don't ignore offense.  Keep bolstering it, and hopefully get some defensive players and maybe this team will be competitive next year.  Upgrade the O-line a little.  Yeldon will have had a year behind him, Bortles and the Allens will have had two.

If we win Sunday, then I have no complaints about Gus staying.  6-10 was what I expected this year.  A loss... and I'd be a little more hesitant about him staying.  It's rare for a coach to get it together after such a horrific start.

The only coaches who have had as many (or more) games than Bradley with a worse record are Bert Bell, Steve Spagnuola, and Rod Marinelli.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Absolutely.  A trend going up is usually not a bad investment.

If you want to compare the team to a corporation on the stock market, do you invest for the short term or the long term?

Gus sucks, but he's apparently gonna be the coach next year.

The talent on d needs to prove sui the rate the offense improved this year for any hopes of a playoff birth.

Stranger things have happened, but the success of this team next year will be in spite of Gus. Not because of him.

Caldwell will need to perform dune major moves this off-season.

What kind of question is this? Your damn right I'm gonna root for them. Don't let my dislike of PCGB cloud my passion for the jags.

Depends. If you invested in the Jags long term, your portfolio would be in pretty poor shape right about now.
