Jaguars want to re-sign Lewis

#21

Meh, he's nothing special. I think they would be better off letting a rookie develop, as he adds nothing to the passing game and he's not even a good run blocker at this point in his career.

I like his blocking ability and he's a veteran leader.

Did you just see him completely whiff on Watt?

In Lewis' defence, he didn't actually try to put a hand on Watt. Kind of like the captain of the math team deciding not to ask the cheerleader to prom.

Lewis: "Good thing he called me Captain or I might have to go total Giraffe on him!"

Cheap contract to let him play out the rest of his career as a Jag is fine with me, just stop trying to force the ball to him. Let him block.

Meh. As long as it's not much over minimum.

I would rather roll with Harbor.

Lewis and pretty much any piece of the Gene Smith/Harris regimes needs to go.  Along with The coaching staff.

I don't know why this team seems content on keeping pieces of mediocrity.

We will have Harbor regardless if he's here or not.

My point is I'd rather not have Lewis on the roster.  Wasted space.

He contributes almost nothing and will be another year older and slower.

He's a leader of this losing "culture" and I don't want him re-signed.

Thanks for your contributions Marcedes and I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

It should not matter how much he costs. It should matter how much he contributes.

This would be concerning if true. caldwell could do much better. I don't see the point in wasting time with a stiff like marcedes. This has Gus's prints all over it. He'd be the one idiot clamoring for this loser.

Good blocker. Good backup at this point.

Eh, I had hopes that Harbor could develop into a solid player, but he probably provides as much in the passing game as Lewis and absolutely nothing in the run game.

Personally I'd rather both be gone and be upgraded.

Either way I don't want any more of Marcedes Lewis.

It would have been nice if they would have used Lewis today to help Sam Young in pass protection...  But what the heck do I know?

Y'all have to admit that was an awesome catch and run by Lewis today. It nearly sparked a comeback until the game was effectively ended a few plays later.
