Ohio Governor boycotts the letter M

#1

Regardless of your opinions about politics and the Ohio State/Michigan rivalry, you can agree with me John Kasich did something really stupid this week.

He boycotted the letter M. That's right, the first letter in the names Meyer and Miller and third letter in the word game cannot be used on Saturday in the state of Ohio. No governor with a brain would do this. I would not mind boycotting the state of Michigan, where the game is played, or the school colors. But this one is ridiculous.

Maybe he's been hanging with the mayor of Toronto lately?

They are trying to call attention to a meaningless game. OSU will blow Michigan out 52 - 10.

I would love that score, but Michigan is like the Jaguars: much better on defense than offense. To call it a meaningless game is to not understand the rivalry. Even if both teams were unranked it would be very important to them. Ohio State can move up to #2 with a win and an Alabama loss, so it is extremely important to the Buckeyes for BCS purposes. Of course I know that may only last one week.

Settle down, it looks to me like he is just having a little fun with the rivalry.  People need to really lighten up.

This is not about politics. It is about how crazy one man is about the Ohio State/Michigan rivalry.

Either way, he has nothing to do with it. Toronto is a tiny rural town in southeastern Ohio (near the West Virginia border) few people know about.

This made me laugh, but keep in mind the game will be played at Michigan and therefore not subject to John Kasich's executive order.

Heaven forbid anyone ask a sports fan to not take themselves so seriously and actually have a sense of humor about themselves or their team.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Boycotting the letter M would be most beneficial for the OSU football team.  They'd only have to learn 25 letters in sequence.

Not true. They would not be able to say the names of their head coach (Meyer), linebackers coach (Mike), and starting quarterback (Miller).
