With the fifth pick in the 2016 NFL draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars select...

Tunsil, Bosa, Stanley, Jack or trade the heck out of there. I love Ramsey, but still a little high for him for me. Way too high for Hargreaves.

If I am sure about one thing, it is that we will once again screw up this pick. The only 1st round pick I was okay with over the last ten years was Monroe. Everything else has been a complete screw up. Either those 4 or trade back.

As of now it really should be as simple as Ramsey and if he's gone then Jack.

I'm not seriously thinking there's a shot at Bosa but obviously he's a tip top candidate too.

If I were Shad and Dave suggested he is considering taking an OT at 5 I would fire him on the spot.

Quote:I am between...

Laremy Tunsil, OT, Ole Miss ...best LT in the draft to replace the epic failure named Luke and give Blake the critical backside protection that he deserves to be successful.

-or-

Jalen Ramsey, CB/FS, Florida State ...able to shut down the field, either from the CB or possible FS spots in the pros.

-or-

Emmanuel Ogbah, DE, Oklahoma State ...With Bosa likely off the board, the most disruptive pass rusher on the board and the nation's career sacks leader.  Under-rated by many boards.
I need to see more of Emmanuel Ogbah, he comes from a pass happy Big 12, I wonder if he has inflated sack stats, not to say he isnt good but need to see his pressures and workouts.

5 would be high for Billings maybe in a trade back

And mvannostrain is right, Wilkerson broken leg is meaningless, and is better for us, means Jets might low ball him, remember they have 3 other stud DL guys, would go hard after him

You ever heard of this guy named Blake Bortles?

The Bortles pick was not a complete screw up.

Fowler? Yet to be determined, but I doubt that was a complete screw up as well.

Hopefully they hit a home run with this next draft. Seriously, how many straight years are the Jags going to have a top 5 or top ten pick and still remain a bottom-feeder team? Teams that continuously have top draft picks will eventually be loaded with talent,, right?

We can only hope so. No Safety on the current roster should ever be employed by a professional football team again.

1. Titans - Joey Bosa DE

2. Browns - Paxton Lynch QB

3. Chargers - Laremy Tunsil OT

4. Cowboys - Jalen Ramsey CB

5. Jaguars - Myles Jack OLB

I'm a big fan of Myles Jack but I am afraid he is too raw to garner a top 5 selection.

I dont think the titans will take bosa at 1 and I dont believe that Myles jack is going to go that high.

as an athlete you could argue top 5, but as a linebacker, I'm not so sure.

I agree, taking a LB at 5 he better be a pass rusher and I dont think Jack is, maybe in a trade back

Ramsey is intriguing but he better be a damn good safety at pick 5.

I think this might be the year the Jags are most likely to be seriously interested in a trade down.  I'm not saying it will happen but I think they will push quite hard to do so.

I always love the idea of a trade and this year would be perfect to trade back just a few spots and maybe get another second rounder.

Perhaps the Eagles or Rams try to leapfrog the 49ers to get Cook or Goff?

I'm talking about draft day. Watching the draft, Monroe was the only selection I felt wasn't a complete screw-up. Bortles was not a screw-up, but obviously wasn't a home run hit either. Lots of improvement in year 2; however, he still leads the NFL in sacks, he still leads the NFL in interceptions, and he's still bottom 4 in QBR, passing percentage, etc.

I can't say Fowler is a screw-up yet because of his unfortunate injury. However, I don't see him being anywhere even remotely close to what we are expecting. You can't take a player like that and then all of a sudden expect him to be a double digit sack guy and apply constant pressure on the QB when he did nothing of the sort in college. Anything is an improvement over what we have though. We have no production coming out of the LEO position. Branch with 4 sacks; I can think of safeties that get to the quarterback more than that.

Who would a team below us want to trade up to five for?

And I think the Titans might decide their pass rush is good enough already and pick Tunsil over Bosa.
