2016 Jaguars Mock Draft

#21

Quote:Jason Meyers, for all of his terrible missed extra points, was actually pretty good at field goals. Am I the only one okay with assuming he can work out the xp issues and come back and play well next year?
I'm ok with him coming back and competing for it, but I'm not going in without someone who has a legitimate shot at winning this job long term.

Quote:I don't think a team should draft a kicker before 6/7 unless it is a rare exception. I believe Aguayo is that exception. He is the first kicker to declare early in 16 years, since fellow FSU alumn kicker declared early and got drafted in the first round.

I don't think Aguayo should go in the first round like fellow Nole Janikowski, but Aguayo is a steal in the 5th. Aguayo leaves FSU as the most accurate kicker in college football history. 0-40 yards: 244 out of 244, 40-49: 18 out of 24, 50+: 5 out of 8..... yes please!
I'm surprised to see this stat. 75% on 40-49? Granted its over a span of multiple years, but as a comparison Blair Walsh is 80% from the same range in the NFL.

I wouldn't be opposed to him coming back but not without bringing in competition. Let the best man win.

Really liking the idea of drafting Sebastian Tretola if hes available in the 3rd. Only problem I see, is that he will be drafted in the 1st after the senior bowl and combine are done.

Mock Draft: MK Mock Top 10 1.0

1. Titans - Laremy Tunsil OT: Protect MM

2. Browns - Jared Goff QB: Gonna Bust

3. Chargers - Miles Jack OLB: Gonna freak the combine, better scheme fit than Bosa

4. Cowboys - Laquon Treadwell WR: Need more playmakers, Bosa not the best scheme fit.

5. Jaguars - Joey Bosa DE: Tough call, but you gotta go Bosa here, right? His personality, however has me cautious about his drive to realize his potential.

6. Ravens - Jalen Ramsey S: Their secondary is lacking a star

7. 49ers - Deforest Buckner DE: Chip needs to improve the D if not going QB here.

8. Dolphins - Ronnie Stanley OT: Protect Tannehill

9. Buccs - Vernon Hargreaves CB: Their secondary needs help

10. Giants - Shaq Lawson DE: Desperately need a pass rush

You're right and you are not alone. We'll bring in competition for him but I doubt we're drafting a kicker. My money is on him winning the job again.
