Who's "your guy(s)"?

Quote:Dave has mentioned Cann possibly making the move to Center several times. I'm not sure if I like that or not but if Dave thinks he can then I'm interested to see how he does.
I don't think we can go wrong either way but I'd prefer if Cann played guard opposite of Linder, and we look for a center. I just like the idea of great bookend guards

THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.

RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.

This is a good topic to discuss during training camp. For now I just hope we can draft a center, even if he ends up being Cann's backup.

This makes total sense. Even if there is a perfect solution on the team already, we should burn a draft pick on the position just because.

Is it rude for me to quote my own post about Braxton Miller?

If so, just let me know and I won't do it. Now pardon me while I schedule myself for reconstructive shoulder surgery due to all the high fives I'm getting from my bros.

Yeah I think if I had to name the one player I've seen with the most negative tweets in the entire senior bowl it's probably Dadi.

Most definitely ,with Oakman lumbering just behind him.

Well yeah Oakman too, but they were mostly just confirmation of how bad he looked this season.

People really expected Dadi to look good this week and he bombed by all accounts.

Perfect. Makes me want DADI (pause) even more.....These "practices" mean nada....plenty of guys just don't look good in practice.

GIMME DADI

Now Oakman on the other hand is just a big stiff

Dadi was playing in a new defense.  Put in a "go get the QB" role he'd probably look differently.  Maybe a lot differently.

I just watched some highlights on YouTube and now I'm 100% confident that A shawn Robinson and VH3 are my favorite top players this year. I don't watch college ball at all. Like I said 100%

Dadi Nicolas is extremely raw. He's got a ton of work to do. Sort of reminds me of JPP coming out of college, but a little less talented.

It did not take long for JPP to become a very important piece of the Giants defense.

Which, to me, is kind of shocking because you would think that a Bud Foster coached player would have a good foundation in fundamentals.

My guy, especially for the Jaguars, was ND OLB Jaylon Smith until he got hurt.

If he can recover from his injury completely, then he has a good future.

But we need too much immediate impact to risk a pick on him.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

(This post was last modified: 01-29-2016, 01:43 PM by Joe.)

Watched a few tapes over the weekend, some prospects I only watched one game, so my opinion on them is not really concluded yet, just my initial reaction. Also, I couldn't care less about measurements, which is the main reason I watch tape in my free time. I don't care if you ran a 4.1 forty, have a 50inch vert, and benched 225lbs 75 times while balancing plates on sticks. It matters little to me if I don't see it on tape.

With that being said, what the hell do I know?

Here it goes;

Jayron Smith, LB Notre. Only watched one film.(against either USC or Texas) and I really am not sure why people have been hyping him up so much. He played with fire, and definitely can pop the crap outta people, but I felt he got hooked in the run game a lot, and looked better because his teammates made a lot of plays. I've seen him being brought up as our #5 pick quite a few times, and I just don't see him going that high after watching the one game. For now, I can see him going anywhere from mid fist round to early 2nd round.

I leaning toward a Bruce Irvin comparison, I'll have to watch more film.

Laremy Tunsil LT Ole miss: I've watched three films of this guy and might be one of those "safest pick in the draft" types of players. He is quick enough/ has the feet to defend against the speed rushers, and also plays well against the bull rush. A year or two in the pros and I think he could be really great for a team.

For comparison I'd use Duane Brown.

Ronnie Stanley OT Notre: This offensive lineman leaves me stumped as to why he is being mocked so high. He's another one of the players that I've only watched one game tape on, but his performance stood out so much I have to bring it up. I watched the game he had versus Texas, and this guy might be the slowest OT I've ever seen. He obviously relies on his strength, and can beat you once he gets his hands on you, but overall, I'm not impressed by him at all. I'll watch more tape on him, but for now, my opinion of him isn't high.

Really not sure who I would compare him too, as OT with slow feet don't stick around long in the NFL. Andre Smith maybe?

Not sure if any of y'all like reading my posts on college football players game tape, but I like doing it and figured I'd might as well share my opinions.

I'll probably take a look a Reggie Ragland next. Dude is huge and people say he plays "old school" football.

Quote:Alexander is 5'10 180 and that is the biggest knock he gets from most scouts is his small frame

VH3 is 5'11 200

Where in the world did you pull those numbers out of? Just curious.

To me, Alexander looks thicker than VH3.
