Found this interesting that Tunsil is not the first pick, and Goff is not the first QB off the board. Right move by both teams? Who would you rather see the Titans select?

I've said all along it shouldn't be Tunsil. LT just isn't a premium position anymore. Tunsil would have to be far and away the best prospect in this draft for him to be the right pick at #1, and he's just one part of the top tier not a tier of his own. 

 

Of course, I hope the Titans take him because facing them with Tunsil is a lot less scary than if they had Bosa/Ramsey/Jack/etc.

On that mock, they had the Dolphins pick Spence to replace their pass rush.  For the pick, besides a description, they have a one-on-one drill video from the Senior Bowl.  If Noah Spence is not selected by the Jags, I do not want to see him in the AFC South.  I now believe him to be the absolute best pure pass rusher in this draft.

The pick would make perfect sense though. They have to protect Mariota. I think he got sacked like 55 times this past season. Taylor Lewan and Tunsil could make for a nice pair of young, book end OTs for them.

Then they'll just pressure up the middle or overload one side. It's too easy to scheme pressure away from a stud offensive lineman. 

 

Just think of how Babich said we're going to use Fowler this year. They'll move him around a lot to exploit the matchups, rendering that #1 overall pick LT largely useless.

did you seee the SB? LT is stil an important position. If Car had elite tackles that could block Miller and Ware they would of won that game. There just hasnt been that many good ones come out as of late. Its more important of a position now imo because of the edge rushers coming out. If Tenn. thinks Tunsil can be elite than it would be stupid not to take him

Yep, I saw pressure coming from every direction. Ware whipped Oher, Von destroyed Remmers, and Jackson and Wolfe dominated inside. If you think having a tip top LT would have won the Panthers that game then I don't know what to tell ya.

not just LT, but RT too. Both tackles are almost equally important although the LT is protecting the blind side for the right handed qbs of course. Yeah if they would of had bookends they would of won the game. The pressure off the edges is why Car only put up 10 points and lost the game.

In your scenario where drafting a very expensive stud LT would have been the difference for the Panthers, would you have spent that draft capital at the expensive of Keuchly, Cam Newton, or Lotulelei?

Well what we know now of course not on Cam or Keuchly but Lane Johnson would of been the better pick than Star. My point was you were saying LT isnt a premium position anymore. With the pass happy league and the new age edge pass rushers coming in its probably more important than ever. Its just harder to find elite tackles.
