Check out Shaq's High School highlights. I've never seen such a mismatch in my life.

What a game Duke and Syracuse had. I thought for sure Duke was going to pull out a win.

One of the best intra-city rivalries in VCU-Richmond went to Overtime again this past weekend. Mooney has quite the offensive machine going on for the Spiders, but they can't play Defense to save their life. And what a way to end a game!

Once again, Kentucky figured out a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. This only proves that recruiting highly potential pro prospects (say that fast 3 times) does not guarantee a champion team. Calipari has a locker room of stars, but not a team.

VCU has accomplished something that Shaka Smart never has, they've started the Atlantic 10 portion of their schedule 8 - 0 and are in sole possession of first place. New Head Coach Will Wade has the team on an 11 game win streak and get last place LaSalle on Wednesday. Can Wade get a title in his first season?

You can only lose nearly your entire team to the NBA Draft and re-load so much. At some point, that's gonna catch up to you, I don't care how good your recruiting classes are. Not every draft classes are going to hit. There's always going to be a few top recruits that flame out for whatever reason.

This is an interesting year in college hoops. There's no dominant teams but a lot of really good teams. Should make for an interesting March Madness with a TON of upsets.

Villanova ranked AP #1 for the first time in school history!!

Let's see how long that lasts.

I wouldn't guess on a time frame, but there isn't any one individual team this year that can seem to grab it and hold onto it. This NCAA tourney is shaping up to be a pretty good one I think.

I've always been under the opinion that rankings are pretty but they don't mean squat.

It's only the last man standing in March that matters.

UVA lost to Duke on a shot that needed 4 steps.

Nova playing strong since taking over #1.

And the St. Joes Hawks come up big against Dayton last night. That should get them into the top 25.

VCU is not sitting as pretty as they were a bit ago, but seeing as how it's the year after losing their Head Coach, #3 all-time scorer, the two time Conference Defensive Player of the Year, their starting Small Forward, as well as their highest-rated recruiting class in it's entirety, I'm kinda good with where they are right now.

Who was the small forward staring at?

Probably the guy from UCONN that poached him off the roster.

VCU sweeps the town of Richmond. At least Mooney offered a handshake this time.

FSU is going to give Leonard Hamilton another extension. I officially give up. I'm done with FSU basketball.

FSU basketball: rewarding mediocrity year after year.

While my 1st notion is to bang my head in disbelief, he may be finally on to something ....

check out the 2015 and 2016 recruiting class (link below).  If he's able to keep these players at FSU for 4 years while players from Duke jump ship after 2 years, he may be able pull off a Billy Donovan and finally establish a good team.  I know ... I know .... coaching isn't his strength .... but I do see some hope for the next few years.  It does look like his recruiting has really picked up over the past few years.  Check out the year by year icon to see the trend of 4 stars (and even a 5 star) that he's landing....

The NCAA tournament is going to be crazy.  No dominant teams, mediocre to good teams all over the place.  I'm thinking many, many people will have the brackets busted within the first four days of the tournament (myself included).
