Quote:Very true.  Since Bridgewater's going to be the only one to make it, all the other QBs in the draft better just skip the NFL altogether.

Bridgewater is certainly no consensus #1 pick.

If "consensus #1 pick" means "odds on favorite" to be the top pick -- considering the browns, bucs, vikings, and us are all QB-hungry teams -- then yes, he is the consensus #1 pick to this point.

Sorry, pirk.

Have you seen Teddy throw a football? He's going to be the #1 pick.

If you take a peek around, folks have Clowney as the top pick even after his injury.

So, I'm not sure you truly understand what the word "consensus" means.

Consensus means majority...doesn't mean unanimous.

Like he said, you don't have a grasp of the word.

per Meriam-Webster:

Consensus

"a general agreement about something : an idea or opinion that is shared by all the people in a group"

Consensus does not mean majority.

And the consensus is not for Bridgewater, even if using your incorrect definition.

Quote:Whick of the top mock sites are still slotting Clowney at first overall?

I like Bridgewater.

But please don't use "Top mock sites" and "Walterfootball" in the same sentence.  It loses credibility.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Uh, it's popular and one of the first results on any google search involving mock drafts. I don't personally care about September projections from bloggers who aren't paid by a team for their opinions, but they would be part of the mock draft "consensus" we're talking about here.

Just to butt in here, but WalterFootball is pretty much tripe. How they are popular is beyond me, because it's hard to even find evidence that they have watched a college football game at all.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

I have yet to see a single Mock Draft updated anytime since the season began that has Clowney going number one. Feel free to show me examples of these from prominent mockers.

pirk is right on the money. Espnncaa si and other real player news sites. Have stated Clowney should go number 1 and not even close. And Spurrior stated could of went to Nfl from Highschool is that good.

Just based on many things I read. I am fine either way. We need a Pass rusher badly as well as QB.

Did anyone see that throw Bridgewater made in the Kentucky game where he threw the ball sideways to his WR while being chased out of bounds? Those kinds of plays are why Teddy is going to be a superstar in the NFL..

I hate this argument. It was an awesome play dude. A play that Blaine Gabbert or Chad Henne would never make.

A good way to tell someone knows nothing about draft analyzing? They bring up competition with QBs.

Him making a good/smart play has nothing to do with the opposing teams quality.

This. Teddy knows where to go with the football almost every play of every game. He knows how to manipulate a defense. In a way I feel like he actually 'toys' with the D. He already knows where he is going to go with it and its the right throw. Similar to Peyton Manning.. And this is rare for a 20 year old.....
