Analyzing Fresno State vs Rutgers for Derek Carr

Hey everyone, I did another write up, this time on Carr. Head on over to my article, and tell me what you think.

Great write up!

Also if you continue watching his games in sequence he progressively gets better each week!

This week they will face a very good defense in Utah st for the mwc conference championship, excited how he handles it. And if they win they'll face another good defense, the usc trojans in a bowl game. If Carr continues his success in these two games and the senior bowl he has a slight chance to supplant teddy as the first qb taken imo.

Nice write up......thanks. I'm sure Caldwell consider him if we drop out of the top 3 draft spots.

I'm still not convinced. Most of his throws are on predetermined reads. You call it reactionary, but it's a predetermined spread offense where he gets lots of yards off of screens and short passes.

Roughly 75% of these predetermined reads he doesn't adjust at the line. He does indeed throw off his back foot a lot.

You are right to throw out the stats and the article is well written with an attempt to be unbiased. Good Job.

Be interesting to see what he does at Senior Bowl. I'll wait till then to gauge him further.

I enjoy your posts. Keep it up.

Thanks man. My plan is do to three games total for each prospect. I want to include bowl games and championships if possible. So I will be doing his game against Utah St, and then whoever he plays for his bowl (you say it will be USC).

And yes jagsfan, his work at the Senior Bowl will be what pushes him up into contention with Teddy, or lowers his stock significantly.
