I've changed my opinion somewhat in that the woman who lost the fight was the mother of his child.  I did not catch this detail at first. It's pretty messed up for him to let anything happen to the mother of his children.  Of course though, this is coming from me, still married to mother of my children and would never let harm come to her without me standing in the way.

What matters is if he broke the law, which he didn't I dont think.  However, allowing it to happen to the mother of his child/children is messed up.
