Noah Spence ran a 4.75 at his pro day.   At 251 pounds, that's not real good.  

 

Add in the substance abuse and getting kicked out of the Big Ten, and I would say an emphatic NO at #5.  

 

Second round, I'd jump all over it, but not at 5th overall pick. 

 

The thing is, he might come in and be a good player, but can you trust him, especially after RJ Soward, Matt Jones, Justin Blackmon.

It's an up and down thing until the draft gets closer when pro days wind down and free agency cools off.

I'm starting to think the talk of Spence at the top end of the draft might have been just talk and that the people who really mattered (the GMs who stayed away from his pro day) never really saw him as that.

Look at where Gregory fell to last year - it's very, very likely Spence falls to the 3rd round.  No way is the Jags pick at 5.  If he's there in the 3rd though - it's worth a shot.
