If The Jags Have The First Pick And Take Clowney. How Mad Would You Be?

#1

With all the tank for teddy fans out there. Wonder if this would cause a major uproar or no big deal. We got a monster Pass Rusher.

Almost as mad as I get everytime you mention Denard should play QB.

If whoever we get is better than Teddy Bridgewater, then not at all.

But if Bridgewater turns out to be amazing, and we get someone who isn't nearly as good, then I'll be pretty upset.  Especially if Clowney then leaves the team in 5~ years.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

I'll be extatic over Clowney or Bridgewater. I trust Caldwell after how well his first draft went.

pretty much this ^^^

But If Bridgewater finishes this season healthy and continues to play as well as he's been, and we still take Clowney, I probably will be pretty ticked off.

Depends on which qb we end up with.

I just can't imagine that Caldwell is that much of an idiot and/or hates his job that much.

Here's a twist to the scenario!

What if Caldwell sees a QB that will come available in the next draft who is just as good as Bridgewater, and he also notices that no Defensive End in that draft is as good as Clowney? Then, he takes Clowney #1 overall, rides Gabbert to another poop-tastic season, and gets a high quality DE and a high caliber Quarterback! Win win!

Or am I supposed to be mad because he didn't take Bridgewater?

Looking at Indi, Atlanta, and Seattle, I'll be shocked. Mad only if he doesn't get 20+ sacks a season for a decade

Clowney would still be an awesome pick, but there should be no way we pass up on Bridgewater. He's going to be a star..

Haha, even if we grabbed clowney #1, I highly doubt we pass on drafting a Qb next year

And a twist to THAT scenario:

We manage to win 4 games with Gabbert.  Phillip Rivers gets injured and the Chargers only win 2 games next year, and take that QB.

I'd be annoyed since the QB is the most important position in football and Bridgewater is the clear #1. However, I wouldn't be that mad since Clowney is a once in a decade plus prospect at a premier position.

And a twist to that! Caldwell notices that no player in the 2016 draft is worth missing out on a QB for, so they package both of their First Round picks and jump ahead of San Diego!

How do you jump ahead of the first pick?

No! But all seriousness, if they take Clowney that means they have a backup plan at the qb position.

Would be a dumb decision, I would be furious.
