He's fragile. I expect some nice production from him until about game 5, then it's back to the injury list.

TBH he is my favourite player on the roster right now. Killer speed and an awesome attitude


Sadly I think he ends up out of the league due to injuries. We are handling him with kids gloves and he still can't stay healthy.


I really hope he has a great year next year. If he survives camp I'll be more positivw

We'll see those guys on the field together on third down, but I'd guess Hurns would be in the slot in that situation.

Agreed.  A lot of times, subsequent injuries to a major one like his knee injury tend to be the result of overcompensating, or simply trying to push to come back faster.  The hamstring thing is one that is a nagging problem for guys like Lee, and the only thing that will truly heal it is rest.  He wasn't able to adequately heal that up during the season.  He should be fine by the time the team is back on the field. 

 

I think Lee has a lot to prove this year, and that it won't be his skill set that undermines his turnaround.  The only thing that will hamper him is health, and if he can put that aside, he'll be fine.  Thinking back to a few years ago when we were talking about Cecil Shorts as one of our better receivers, we've come a long way with that position and the talent/depth we've added to the roster.  We've gone from one of the worst receiving corps in the league to one of the best in a couple of seasons.  It helps to have a QB, but you also need the talent at WR, and they've got it in a big way right now.

 

I remember during the Coughlin era, there was this elusive quest to find a guy who could be that third receiver.  Coughlin never found him.  We've got a good group now that other teams probably are watching to see which players don't make the squad.  That's a testimony to how good things have gotten there.

Talent wise he might be the most gifted WR out of anyone we have on the roster. Dude can score from anywhere on the field, he just needs to stay healthy.

A few more days of waiting until free agency, but I wanted to see what the perception of Marqise Lee is around here.


Injuries have obviously really gotten to him so far. Allen Hurns has taken his spot as the "#2" wideout on this team.


I just don't want to forget how talented he actually is. His potential is perfect for this team. Quick screens, trick plays (reverses), underneath routes to burn a LB or S, and then over the top speed. Almost a perfect compliment to Hurns and Robinson IF HEALTHY.


I know the coaches and FO are still excited about Marqise Lee. Are you?

He's not a bad player at all. I still think he can be even better than Allen Hurns and that's not a knock on Hurns, but a compliment to what Marqise Lee is as a football player.

 

It would break my heart if he gets hurt again this year because I think it's unfair for opposing defenses that someone of his talent -- a freaking 2012 Biletnikoff winner -- is running the #3 spot on our offense.

It also helps that Caldwell had the mind to stack on receivers from the 2014 class, which is quickly turning into one of the best of all-time, if it isn't already. The Jags got drilled by a couple of "experts" for going back-to-back with Robinson and Lee, but people will look back and point directly at the 2014 NFL Draft for flipping a 180 on the arrow for the Jaguars.

He's definitely got some good potential if he can stay healthy.I see him and the rest of our WRs giving the nfl fits next year.

I worry about his mental toughness.  It seems like every play he feels like someone did him wrong, and he has to complain about it, or shove the guy. In a league where it's often times the second guy who gets caught, he has a tendency to be the second guy.  I remember in one of the games last year we're down about the 1 or 2 yard line ready to score and he trying to get at some guy who did him wrong.   It could have been a 15 yarder.
