Manning Tribute Thread

#1

Now that Manning's done, it's time to suck it up fellow Jag fans and send him off with a congratulatory post. I don't like him, never did. I lost A LOT of respect for him when he'd curl up in a ball and sack himself at times. That said, he was an all-time great and terrorized our organization for years.

Congrats on a HOF career that included two rings with two different teams. You rode off into the sunset on top. Nicely done.

Ewww, I have to go take a shower now. Who's next?

I loved him, even though we used to faced him twice every year. He was truly one of the best talents I've seen play. An era of football comes to a close with Peyton retiring.

It's a shame Prince has pulled his material from the internet, ...because this would be a nice place to put Jughead for Peyton's retirement.

Arguably one of the top 1-3 QB's of all time.. That being said, he can still take a long hop off a short pier.. Dude is a tool.

He was the best ever. If you don't think so, then you're just hating.

He has the stats to prove it.

He was a Pro Bowl regular for years and years...

Ummm every stat except Super Bowl wins. Brady's better than Manning dude, sorry. 4 rings to 2. Not to mention Brady was the main reason they won all four. Manning's not even the best of his era.

I was trying to give him his props in this thread, not proclaim him the best ever. Geez.

He made for some interesting games in the past.

I hope he can come back as the Jaguars OC!

To me that will be the question for a very long time

Who was the best QB ever?

Joe Montana?

Peyton Manning?

Tom Brady?

Brady won more with less.

Manning had a great career though and really utilised playing in a terrible division the majority of his career to pad his regular season stats.

I personally think he's a bit over rated, but he has 2 rings so kudos to him

Brady for me and I don't like him.

Anyway, congrats to Peyton for a great career. It was a pleasure to watch him play when he was at his best (it was painful to watch him this last season though) even though I didn't like teams he played for. But I was still rooting for him in SB50.

I don't think that I would go that far, unless you are talking about the modern era.

I'm sure that this was a sarcastic comment from you, but if not I would have to dispute that.

As much as I hated seeing him beat our team over the years, he is truly up there with the greats of the sport.  Congratulations to him for a great career and leaving on top as the Super Bowl winner.

One of the great QBs and whiners in NFL history. I can remember seeing the following image after every incomplete pass:

Well, congrats on your years in the NFL....it's just too bad the Jags couldn't take advantage

of you moving on to Denver these past few years.

Jags and clots were some pretty exciting games back in the day.

Be interesting to see if you move on to broadcast or coaching.....or becoming one of those QB's that's on his tractor until getting the call.
