I dont think getting Irvin or not will have anything to do with us drafting Jack.  Irvin will play OTTO and Leo and Jack will play MLB.  You draft Jack even if Ramsey is on the board and we get Irvin

Poz is still very much the full-time Lb on 1st and 2nd down. He becomes a liability when he's forced in coverage and in obvious pass situations.

 

Think it's a bit less likely on Jack unless we play Irvin at LEO way more than OTTO and Fowler isn't the main LEO. Depth is good, but Poz is still a pretty damn solid MLB outside of being in coverage and I doubt he goes anywhere for a couple years yet.

I just don't see it. I love Jack and all, but Gus and co. are HUGE on Poz and always talk about when he's not starting and out there our defense isn't the same. He gets a lot of flack due to his coverage skills which is fair, but he's a straight up beast still against the run. Just don't see him ever not being in there on 1st and 2nd down for a while unless he gets hurt/loses a step.

I just don't see it. I love Jack and all, but Gus and co. are HUGE on Poz and always talk about when he's not starting and out there our defense isn't the same. He gets a lot of flack due to his coverage skills which is fair, but he's a straight up beast still against the run. Dont be blind to drafting Jack because of the way Gus and Dave talk up Poz.  If Jack is there when we pick, a big "if" I dont think Dave passes him up.
