Quote:Malik Jackson draws interest from 4 teams

Malik Jackson | DEN

(March 8, 2016 8:39 AM EST)

9 News Denver reports free agent DL Malik Jackson drew "serious interest" from the Broncos, Bears, Raiders and Jaguars on Monday.

The Broncos have been clear about wanting to re-sign the talented lineman, and the other three teams have been linked before. Jackson previously played for coaches in both Chicago (John Fox) and Oakland (Jack Del Rio), and Jacksonville's cap space rivals the GDP of most island nations. Jackson is reportedly looking for at least $14 million annually on his next deal.

Mario Williams | FA

NJ Advance Media's Jordan Raanan reports free agent DE Mario Williams is "not in play for the Giants at this time."

The Giants reportedly had serious interest in Williams after he was cut by the Bills, but his reported $10 million asking price may have put them off. New York has switched their focus to the Rams' William Hayes, the Falcons' Adrian Clayborn, and the Dolphins' Olivier Vernon, who is unable to negotiate until Wednesday under the terms of the transition tag. Williams has already visited the Dolphins and is expected to draw interest from the Jaguars.

Explains why we've here nothing about Vernon.

Vernon will be the first DE to sign, setting the market.

Ian Rapaport was just on the NFL network and said the Jags are in play for Doug Martin and or Chris Ivory.

Why anyone wants to pay any rb is beyond me

Makes sense to go after a RB since we have no one behind Yeldon.  We have truckloads of money and it's doubtful we'll get everyone on our wishlist.

Makes sense since we want to run the ball more. Split workload with Yeldon.

<p class="">When the market opens tomorrow, Kelechi Osemele will become the newest member of the <a class="" href='https://twitter.com/hashtag/Raiders?src=hash'>#Raiders</a>. The two sides have an agreement in principle.

Teams can't talk to transition/franchise tag players during this period, have to wait for free agency to actually start.

Osemele agreed in principle to the Raiders.

Reggie McKenzie is a quality GM.
