Smith because he is 6 foot 3, the perfect frame Gus wants in his corners.

Smith is better, but older...and big corners don't age particularly well so at 29 years he's definitely going to start falling off pretty soon.

I'd rather go Janoris for the slightly worse but probably much longer impact player (but really I think I'd rather get Casey Hayward than either).

I want Jenkins and Gipson over Vernon.

Honestly, my one problem with Janoris is, do you guys think he really fits this scheme?

We've seen what teams like the Dolphins and Eagles do. Janoris is a big name and all, but if he doesn't fit he's going to bust and he'll be cut/traded in a year or two. Malik fits this defense perfect as a 3T/5T type guy. Vernon is a bit more iffy but still a decent fit as a LEO/3T. Irvin is ideal at OTTO/3T. Not huge n Smith due to lack of interceptions but he fits this team as a big, physical corner.

Just don't want to sign big names, I want to sign the players that fit and can thrive.

I see lot of people trying to say we over paid for Jackson, not just jags fans, the difference is we have a good young offensive unit, and already have some solid guys to go with him in Fowler and Marks coming back plus the draft and the rest of FA.

Now if we signed him in year one of Dave and Gus then yea it would be over paying the team was trash

Yes Jenkins is a scheme fit, he is a press man CB, plus a play maker which we need

He also played under Dan Quinn at Florida

Good to hear.

According to a Rams fan I respect on another site, he doesn't like the fit.

I don't watch much Rams tape so I can't talk with a ton of knowledge regarding the guy being a fit or not. But this guy knows our defense and thinks he'd be a poor fit in this type of defense.

What will the #Jaguars do in Round 1? Not sure yet, but I've heard they like Myles Jack as a SS/LB hybrid, not a MIKE

I want Janoris Jenkins because he was absolutely stud level at UF then had his off the field problems so much he had to sit and then play for another small town university but still made it to the Rams. He got his head on straight and started pretty good for them since he got there. It's like the opposite Justin Blackmon cause as of right now. Definitely want him. Although if we got him and drafted Hargreaves I'd crap my pants, that just means we don't have Jack anymore.

Even after the mega deal to Jackson, the Jags still have the most cap space in the league. Hahahahaha, it's going to a fun week boys and girls!

The only thing that concerns me with Jenkins is if he comes back to North Florida, will he get back with old friends and old habits?
