Honestly, I can see Vernon getting a deal very similar to Jacksons. Which would be totally fine by me.

When your offense is basically fully of rookie deals, you can overspend on defense. Get the rushers.

Exactly. Bortles is essentially signed for three more years. You can front load these deals with all the guarantees this year and next.

It'd definitely suck, but that would mean the likelyhood of getting a good guard and a good safety/corner would increase.

If we were to lose out but still land a guy like Gipson/Weddle/Smith/Heyward etc. along with Jeff Allen, this FA would have been a very good one. Our offense line still has a massive glaring hole at either LG or C.

It would and then they'd have to sign someone like Ayers I would guess. Or just really try to address in the draft, but we'd be left with really young guys. Crossing fingers we get him.
