You just knew Caldwell had to give you one silly free agent deal that would be stupid in the long run. At 6 mil it makes Yeldon in the 2nd look dumb considering all those other players we could've drafted. Pretty sure it will be just a good of a back in this draft taken in the late rounds.

Yep ... short yardage right.  When I saw he had 1,000+ yards I just assumed he carried the ball 900+ times.

 

ON A SIDE NOTE, THE SHORT YARDAGE BACK THAT WE JUST PICKED UP, HAD MORE YARDS PER CARRY THAN OUR PRIMARY RB DRAFTED IN ROUND 2 LAST YEAR.   :thumbsup:

 

Hopefully, Ivory will realize his role and reduce his 4.2 yards per carry accordingly.

Yes, we signed the Horse to a 4 year contract to be our Primary RB.   Now name me 5 white primary running backs that had 4 good consistent years in the past 20 years.  Actually, I'll be happy if you can name 3

Like christ. Just because you draft/sign someone doesn't mean you are a fortune teller and can tell the future. Some guys don't work out. Be happy so far that has been the bargain bin players and not the high priced guys. I'd say Odrick, House, Parnell, and Julius have worked out damn well. Got Big Roy/Marks for cheap deals and now they are cornerstones of our run defense.
