Wasn't that guy tweeting about Thomas last year? I swear having the conversation about the NBA guy last year in regards to JT.

@albertbreer Ex-Seattle DE Chris Clemons is on his way to the Pacific Northwest now to visit the Seahawks, per source. If things go well, he could sign.

Wouldn't be surprised if Vernon wants a change of scenery and moves from Florida.

Man things aren't going as fast as I thought they would have. Hopefully we can land Vernon, but I'm starting to get nervous

Alex Boone to Vikings per Rapoport

I think the bidding war is going on right now. This is the contract that will set up Von Millers deal. In another thread i stated he would get between 15 and 18 million. Dude may get 20 mil lol. But he is the best young edge rusher on the market. If he is a 12 sack guy and is extremely disruptive then its money well spent.

Get him Dave.

At or around 4pm things should pick up.

By rule they couldn't talk to him until he got released from the transition tag, or 4 pm, whichever came first.   So by rule they have not been able to contact him until just a couple of hours ago.

If it gets to $20 million a year then please pass and draft a young stud. Vernon is good but he's not Lawrence Taylor good.

Back to the two headed debate. Do you pay or not with the cap space we have? I think in our case it wouldn't set us back to do such a thing. Yes it is a lot of money but thats what you gota do to secure the top guys. If he comes in, puts up double digit sacks and disrupts the qb 1/4 of the time to me thats worth it.

No, of course you don't pay the guy 20 million a year.   You simply outbid all the other teams, and hope no one loses their senses and refuses to lose (to us).     But not 20 million a year.   Dave won't do that.

Im sure Dave wont. Thats why he's the GM and im not lol. It just will suck to roll into the season with no edge rushers again except a damn near rookie fowler.
