Osweiler to Houston
|
Hmm... this might actually be a good move by Houston if it pays off. They have a pretty good defensive line, a good group of receivers and just signed not only Osweiler, but also Lamar Miller. The AFC South just got more competitive.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.
Nevertheless, that was a big blow to Denver (combined with our signing of Malik)
They were miles better than us with a below average QB, who knows what Osweiler brings.

Just the fact that Denver let him go with no other QB behind him should tell you something...

I like the pick up.
The thing y'all are missing is that Brock wanted out of Denver for multiple reasons. One the benching, two he doesnt like Kubs system, three Denvers D is bleeding players and of course money.
Quote:pretty sure he isnt the second coming or denver would have paid to keep him. Ahem! You mean, the THIRD coming. Tebow already had a cup of coffee there.

That's right, Pirk.
Tebow DID have a cup of coffee there, because John Elway...yeah THAT John Elway, was somehow jealous of Tebow's accomplishments and popularity....IN Denver, and had to get rid of him. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!
Quote:That's right, Pirk. I never took you to be in that camp. I suppose even the best conversationalists have their weak spots. His career speaks for itself. He's gone for good reason, not petty ones.

Quote:That's right, Pirk. I said this same exact thing a few years ago and was laughed right off this board. Elway may have burned his bridge with Osweiler by not negotiating with him more aggressively from the start.
Whether someone has a liberal, or conservative viewpoint, a authoritative figure should not lock a thread for the sole purpose to get the last word in all the while prohibiting someone else from being able to respond.

While this is surprising, I really see Osweiler as a slight upgrade, if one at all. He was surrounded by far more talent and kept himself from being responsible for losses, with really only one good game in his own right.

Quote:Better hope this guy sucks. I don't think that he sucks, but I don't think he is as good as they had paid him either... Quote:I don't think that he sucks, but I don't think he is as good as they had paid him either... If you look at the structure of the contract, it's actually not a terrible deal given the supply/demand on QB contracts. It is structured as a two-year try out, after the 2017 season there is no dead money if Brock doesn't perform and the Texans decide to cut him.

Can we leave the personal insults behind for a while and get back to some semblance of topic, gents? Please, and thank you. |
