From what Ian Rapoport is saying, it is the biggest defensive end deal in history with the most guaranteed money. I'm betting the Jaguars didn't want to take such a cap hit with so much young talent needing to be signed next year.

Props to Dave for showing some restraint. He drafted Fowler at #3 to be Vernon. Let's hope he plays up to his draft billing.
