Denver Starting QB in 2016

#1

I read somewhere this is the first time in NFL history that the team winning the Super Bowl has lost both their #1 and #2 QBs.

Who is going to be the Broncos starting QB in 2016?

Give me your best educated guess.

Mike Glennon.

John Elway trades for a QB around the height that he lost earlier today.

That could be a very good idea.

He's got a base salary of around $1.5 this year.  Not expensive for a guy with experience who is not bad.

Colin Kaepernick is a name that was floating around yesterday as a potential target.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

He'd certainly offer them a dynamic they haven't had since The Snake.

Not sure it would end well for either party, though.

you'd think the 49ers would keep Kaepernick let him sit on the bench why trade him if the defending champs want him? Unless they get so desperate they would trade them multiple 1st round picks.

I think I heard Von Miller endorses Johnny football going to Denver that would be interesting to see lol.

Good point regarding the base salary.   I was thinking of a potential trade more from a skills standpoint.  Considering the Broncos couldn't afford to keep two key Defensive players from their Super Bowl winning team,   the base salary of Mike Glennon would be a huge benefit for them in compensating for their Defensive losses.

I wasn't even thinking of Glennon.

That $1.5M sure is a tiny base salary after seeing all the other huge $$ amounts that were being announced in recent days for QBs.

Heck, that's even less then many back up QBs,(and other back up non-QB positions), punters, kickers and other much less valued positions then QB.

I'm just trying to think of which QB out there would be a good fit in Denver.

He doesn't seem like a fit for Denver's HC IMO...

I would think RG 3 could go to Dallas as a backup for Romo, SanFran to compete for starting role under Chip Kelly's mobile offense, Browns have a history of bad choices maybe there?

Jets Ryan Fitzpatrick makes the most sense if they go with a free agent instead of with the draft & or trade..

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh what? Glennon isn't a starter anywhere in the NFL.
