Really though, Caldwell and crew are going to have to go back and start digging real deep into the Pass Rushing draft pool. All that talk last year about this being a weak draft for edge rushers, is really starting to hit home, real hard right now.

 

IMO, last year wasn't as great as boasted... a lot of rush OLBs but few RDEs.  So skewed they re-labeled the group rather than designate DE or OLB because there were so few true ends.

 

I think this year folks are overlooking some of the RDEs out there, and there's value for the patient and wise.  Might need work, but IMO better teaching a DE to play DE on the NFL level, than force someone better suited to play linebacker in the NFL to do the same.
