Very strange story indeed.

Could easily just be using us to get a better deal with Steelers/Seahawks. This airport business only increases his leverage with them.

You do realize most FA's take more than one visit? Ayers visited Tampa, left and went to Jacksonville, then signed in TB. Players like the free agent process and like to see what their opportunities include. It's not the first time nor will it be the last where an FA leaves without signing. Doesn't mean he won't be a Jaguar, especially with the report of trying to get him back in the building after he boarded.

You wouldn't know the truth if it jumped up and bit you on your Lilly white [BLEEP].

But we can go with that if it makes you feel better.

Joeckel's better than Okung...well equally average talent, but far less injury prone.

Yeah Okung has not been all that good. Seahawks fans wouldn't mind him going somewhere else..

Assuming for the sake of discussion if the Seahawks lose Russell Okung in Free Agency and Kelvin Beachum signs elsewhere,  the question that follows is what will the Seahawks do to fill their LT void?

Tom Cable is a high quality Offensive Line Coach.  But finding a solution at LT is much easier said than done.   IMO,  in today's NFL the greatest difference between demand vs. supply is at the QB position.   The 2nd greatest difference is at the LT position.

The Jags would be negotiating with Beachum's agent, as it relates to contract terms.  To be asking him to stay, DC must have given Beachum terms agreeable and being supported by the agent.  By him then getting on the plane to meet with other teams or weigh his options, it is not a good sign that he will choose the Jags.

I think the difficult aspect of the situation with Kelvin Beachum for the Jaguars is something that's out of their control at this point in time.   It's hard for most players that have had success with the Steelers to leave that organization.   Unless the Steelers offer is much less than the competition or they end up signing Russell Okung,   it's likely that Beachum will choose to stay with the Steelers.
