Quote:Mainly because Gipson fills the role of ball hawking saftey now.
And based on how Caldwell has played FA and the lack of LBs, Jack seems to be the pick.

Neither will Bosa. He'll try but he'll fail. I'll take Jack over Bosa.

We'll see. If you think Bosa's the second coming of JJ Watt, you're sorely mistaken. He'll be an unexplosive, average NFL player. Nothing more. I think Jack offers more explosiveness and athletic ability. Time will tell.

I think most of us feel that Myles Jack would be an awesome pick, but Joey Bosa would be a nice consolation prize.

Im on the Jack train....

that being said, I am warming up to the idea of taking Shaq Lawson... maybe in a trade down scenario?

I think I take Dodd over Lawson in any circumstance where both are still available.

Jack, absolutely.

Great player, can play so many different positions if needed, we need a LB like him and he's a fantastic athlete. Myles Jack at 5 if he's there please.

JJ Watt, why because hes white?  Thats a bad comparison for any player.  I dont think anyone is the 2nd coming of JJ Watt.

Myles Jack is my pick.

The link is a draftbreakdown scouting report I found on Jack.  It was an interesting read.

I like all the big words they used in that write-up.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Yeah I hate when people jump straight to the uber superlatives if you disagree. No, Bosa won't be Watt but he can still be a very good player.

Like nowadays people are saying Ben Simmons is gonna suck. If you disagree and say he'll be good then all of the sudden it's "yeah well he's not gonna be the next Lebron!" Well no, he probably won't be the next Lebron, but there's a gigantic chasm he can fall into where he isn't the next Lebron but can still be a very good player. That's the Bosa/Watt comparison too.

If that's the case at pick #5, I'd be very happy to get either of those guys.

Bosa is my preference overall.

However, for the Jags, Jack would probably be the best pick out of those two.

As someone above stated, this draft seemingly has alot more quality pass rushers than LBs. Plus, the Jags LB corps is pretty thin outside of Telvin and an aging Poz.

But, either one is cool.

Well, Ben Simmons is the 38th best rated forward in the country by PFF so the critics may be right.

No one sees Watt, but it's not like its either Watt or bust. He definitely has the potential to be an 8-10+ sack guy. This is classic, a guy that was seen ridiculously high all year, draft time lingers and people start doubting the guy and now people just don't like him. There's no reason for all this hate on Bosa. If he's our pick at 5, I'll be pretty damn excited.

Myles Jack.  I am a USC fan but I saw what a stud Jack was at UCLA.  He is one of those guys that will always be around the ball.  Considering LB is the one position on defense that the Jags have not improved at yet, this pick is obvious if he is available.  My prediction

1. Tunsil

2. Wentz

3. Ramsey - I still think he is the top player in the draft but I doubt he will be there for the Jags

4. Bosa - Cowboys need DL help and Bosa fills that need

5. this leaves Jack for the Jaguars

Bingo. Bosa has long been projected a top pick, all this down playing him is nonsense. While I prefer Jack, if Bosa's name is called on draft night at #5, I will be one happy fan.

I like my high first round picks to have good knees before being picked so I would go with Bosa.. IMO
