Is Bosa better than Fowler?
|
Fowler is more physically gifted and has a higher ceiling imo. I think Bosa is more polished coming out but he doesn't have the ceiling that Fowler does, I don't think it's close tbh.

It's pretty much the exact opposite of this haha.
Something about Bosa has made me nervous for months, Im not sure what it is but Id prob go DFJ over him still either way. Not saying Bosa wont be good but IDK just some odd feeling ive had.
Quote:Heard some discussions about this on 1010xl a few days ago. Dempsy had a scout on , I forget who, and he basically said that Bosa is overall more physically gifted and dominant compared to Fowler. What do you guys think? Who is the better player and who will have more success in the NFL? Joey Bosa (possible SOLB or LE)? 6'5" 33 3/8" Arm, 269lbs, 10 1/4" hands 4.86 40 yard dash, 24 reps bench press, 32" vert jump, 120" Broad Jump, 6.89sec 3 cone, 4.21 20 yd shuttle 4-3 LE or 3-4 OLB (versatile) Compared to JJ Watt or Ryan Kerrigan -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dante Fowler, Jr. (Jaguar RE maybe WOLB)? 6'3", 33 3/4"arm, 261lbs, 9 1/2" Hands 4.60 40 yard dash, 19 reps bench press, 32.5" vert, 112" Broad Jump, 7.4 sec 3 cone, 4.32sec 20, 11.89 sec 60 yard most saw him as a 3-4 outside linebacker Was compared to K. Mack or Terrell Suggs ---------------------------------- I read where someone mentioned that Bosa is bigger, stronger, and more agile while Fowler is simply faster more of an edge rushing OLB as Bosa is best fitted at LE. Really hard to compare the two since they are different kind of role guys. I guess its a matter of opinion, but I've read most people saying Fowler Jr is better hence when he went 3rd overall, yet many argue Bosa is better (but some say Fowler is the better athlete where as Bosa is all effort based)... I think it's the best topic I've read this week on Jaguars.com message board... Name Height Weight 40 time 10 split Bench Vert Broad 3 cone 20 yd shuttle Dante Fowler 6025 261 4.60 1.59 19 32.5" 112" 7.40 4.32 Joey Bosa 6050 269 4.86 1.69 24 32" 120" 6.89 4.21 When Fowler Jr. got injured it almost looked like they had him in an LE role. If that was Fowler Jr.'s role why draft Bosa if he is best suited as an LE too? I don't think it matters I think the Cowboys are going to draft Bosa at #4 IMO. I think that their might be a small chance of Tunisl falling to #5 if Titans trade out of 1 overall though. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Doesnt Shaq Lawson compare more to Fowler than Bosa? In which case I think Fowler is the better athlete to Lawson being that Lawson like fowler had a great first step but running 4.7 instead of 4.6 Fowler is much faster (at least was prior injury to ACL).
Why did they even entertain the thought of Noah Spence, with his off field problems (drugs ecstasy) and not even being the best player at 5 (others will be there that are better) it really had me scratching my head. Lawson > Bosa >> Fowler as athletes.

Hes handled this as well as you can possibly handle it. As for other better players thats just subjective. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Chris Smith is also a force player. Pls [BLEEP] with using to justify every single player. just because someone is very athletic doesn't mean they're a good football player. Also Bosa is not "twice the athlete" of Fowler.

If you watch this link (bad language warning)...in the bleow link looks like Bosa will get called for roughing the passer & offsides alot IMO https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5SgHCFw...tml5=False Quote:Today I learned that Tyson Alualu is a force player.Alualu was one of the most impressive 5 tech athletes ever. Off the charts jumps. Always gonna have that what if he didn't do the oklahoma drill question mark, cause he absolutely could have been special. Quote:Chris Smith is also a force player. Pls [BAD WORD REMOVED] with using to justify every single player. just because someone is very athletic doesn't mean they're a good football player. Also Bosa is not "twice the athlete" of Fowler.I don't mean Bosa literally does his drills twice as fast, but Lawson is 80th percentile, Bosa is 70th percentile, and Fowler was I believe a 30th percentile athlete. Whatever words you want to quantify that gap, it's quite significant. It's also notable that the gap is really even bigger than that. Bosa's percentile is dragged down by his average performance in the completely useless 40 yard dash, and Fowler's is propped up because his completely useless 40 yard dash was his only standout drill. In the drills that matter for an EDGE (3 cone, broad jump, vertical jump, and short shuttle...3 cone being the single most important by far), Bosa is probably above an 80th percentile athlete and Fowler is probably around 20th. Does it guarantee that Bosa is going to be a better player? No, and I never said that either. But it sure as heck means there's a much greater chance that he will be, and playing the percentages is all you are doing in the draft anyway.

One of my friends went to school with bosa and says the guy parties all the time. So unless that's behind him, pass.

2015 NFL Draft - Analyzing Targets www.jungle.jaguars.com/index.php?/topic/7892-2015-nfl-draft-analyzing-targets/ Quote:One of my friends went to school with bosa and says the guy parties all the time. Not to mention obviously the ecstasy history. Whatever words you want to quantify that gap, it's quite significant. These two are....interesting. Fowler looked explosive in games, but he only has one explosive trait which was the split (which was off the charts). His jumps weren't special though. Bosa didn't look all that explosive in games, but his split is OK and his jump was better than Fowler. His cod was better too (something very few expected). And watching Bosa do his drills, you definitely see how smooth he is. |
