How would you move forward if Tunsil in round 1?

We good. Bosa Jack or Ramsey
My point is that Tunsil > Bosa as a player.

Agreed.

Bosa is a very good prospect, but at this point in time most see Bosa ad having a limited ceiling. Will he be a VERY good player? Yeah, I think so. Tunsil had a chance to be among the top 3 at his position.

I'd rather us take Bosa, I just know Tunsil is a legit possibility and am bracing for it now though. If it was my choice I'd still go Bosa even though I fully believe Tunsil is a better prospect, and by a decent bit.

And I would much rather have a very good DE than an elite LT, every day of the week and especially when we have a hopefully very good in house option with Beachum.

I really want a defensive playmaker so I'd trade up before I go offense at #5

Yup, agreed.

But Caldwell is trying to build this team and get the best pieces he can. If he thinks Tunsil is a far superior prospect, which wouldn't shock me, all I'm saying is people shouldn't act like it's so crazy. Guy has been viewed as the best guy in this draft for a while now. If he's there at 5, and our top 2 defensive guys are off the board and we aren't enamored with Bosa, Tunsil has a solid chance at being the backup plan if Ramsey and Jack are gone.

Ramsey has only visited the Titans, Jaguars, Cowboys, and the Ravens. I think the Chargers are more interested in Buckner.

You know I wouldn't be surprised if they took Lawson in that situation.

Wouldn't be upset at a Tunsil selection. He's been compared to Walter Jones. I would, however, expect Joeckel to be shopped for a draft day package trade to move up from the 2nd or 3rd round though if Tunsil is the pick. I'd also imagine the Jags to just as likely shop the number 5 pick and drop back a few spots and pick up a Hargreaves or a Lawson instead.

Wouldn't be happy with it but I could see it happening.

Nice statistic on Tunsil, 2 sacks allowed in 28 games. 5 pressures in 260 snaps this year.

Yea. And?

Tunsil might be good but he's a luxury pick at this point. We need defensive help. Jack Bosa or Ramsey will be there and one of those guys should be the pick.

Sounds like nobody here has faith in Fowler and want to draft an insurance plan over an elite LT.

Tunsil won't be there anyway,so it's all moot anyway.

First, Dante is coming off an ACL. Second, you pretty much need two good edge rushers so just rolling into next season with Dante would be dumb.

If we draft an edge rusher at 5, he isn't insurance. Our nickel package has multiple edge rushers and as of right now we basically only have Dante. Heck, look at how much time Clemons and Branch spent on the field together last year.

Eh, wouldn't say it'd be a luxury pick. I was clamoring for Beachum because I like him but he is coming off an ACL, and hes an OL. Gotta temper our expectations a little bit here. They obviously aren't fully on board that he's going to return to form as its a one year deal with option. We aren't picking up Joeckels 5th yr option, so he's likely gone next year.

Tunsil dwfinitely isn't a luxury. Defense is definitely the bigger need, but LT isn't at the point where it's rock solid for us or snything. With a franchise QB you can never go wrong gaining an elite prospect on the OL.

Are we really good enough to consider anything a "Luxury" pick at this point?

It's all about fixing the defense. Drafting a LT (even a very good one) doesn't make much sense when the defense has been horrible the past few years and we have an average LT in Joeckel and an above average LT in Beachum waiting to get healthy.

I really wouldn't say luxury pick. We really don't know what the team has in Beachum off an ACL and Joeckel is mediocre at best and in his last year of his rookie deal.

With that value on the board i would expect a Trade back everyone is looking for a LT with that type of talent.

Agreed. If Tunsil is the, take him, or maybe someone will try to trade up for him.

At several positions, yes.

QB, WR, TE, OT, 3/5 T, and WILL...a top 3 round pick on any of those would constitute a luxury pick to me.
