During the tebow years, they were THE most annoying, yes.  Has their every been a more polarizing figure in college football in the last 50 years then tebow?  No.  So the argument that the gators had THE most annoying fan base during that time has merit.

 

Not to mention gator fans pushing gator players down the Jags throats is nothing new.  They have been doing that for a while.  You haven't seen that with other college fan bases who are Jag fans anywhere near that level.

He had fans of other college teams, fans of other NFL teams, he had fans that aren't fans of sports at all that were screaming his name. That made the phenomena that much bigger and brighter. But if you can pin all that on Gator fans, and being THE most annoying, then by all means...

When someone is polarizing such as tebow, you have extreme fans (and in turn extremely annoying fans).  Those that pushed tebow on you did so in an extremely annoying fashion and did so like no other player I can ever remember.  It started with the gator fans and his annoying fan base grew, but the level of annoyingness coming out of gville during that time was unlike anything the world has ever seen.

 

And as I mentioned earlier, gator fans pushing players on Jag fans went on way before tebow.  Something else they do like no other fan base.

You can do as you wish.  That is a tough one though...  Some gator fans really don't want that game because they won't have anyone to root for.

I'm not talking about now.  It has nothing to do with now.  During that era, your fan base was most annoying.  That era, not now.  That is what I'm referring to.
