When someone is polarizing such as tebow, you have extreme fans (and in turn extremely annoying fans).  Those that pushed tebow on you did so in an extremely annoying fashion and did so like no other player I can ever remember.  It started with the gator fans and his annoying fan base grew, but the level of annoyingness coming out of gville during that time was unlike anything the world has ever seen.

 

And as I mentioned earlier, gator fans pushing players on Jag fans went on way before tebow.  Something else they do like no other fan base.

 

While I agree with your point, I do think before the whole allegation thing took place, Winston was quickly going to rise to that level.

 

The guy is a phenominal athlete.  NFL caliber wise he's light years ahead of Tebow.

Any teams fan base that wins the NT will often times be described as the most annoying for that year.  But again, that isn't what I'm talking about.  Try and keep up.

So the throat pushing of Tebow was only by Tebow fans?

 

Tebow was pushed by everything because a great deal of the country wanted to see it, and the media gave it them. So again, either Gator Nation is much larger then I thought, or you're wrong.

No, but I'm talking about the fans of the school he is playing for.  We aren't just talking about the gator fans being annoying just because of tebow, but he played a huge part.  Gator fans (not talking fans of tebow in general) took things to new heights.  We had gator fans pushing a player on an NFL team like no fan base has done before.

There were little old grandmas pushing Tebow's name and shouting how great he is too that could give a rip about sports.

 

Again, of course there were Gator fans pushing him, what on God's earth did you expect? The much, much, much bigger push were from people who werent Gator fans, or were not fans in general of football. That is proven in the way the media handled it!

To be perfectly honest, and it will never happen....if he was there when the Jags were picking and they didnt take him, I would expect some backlash.

 

May not be on the Tebow level, but it would be heavy handed.
