It is intriguing but if he didn't have legal problems I would consider it but still would say no
I don't believe in trading valuable assets for players who are needing or demanding a big contract. That seems like double paying for the guy. Not only would we give up a high draft pick, we would also have to give him a free agent sized contract.
So, no. No way. For what we would be giving up in this deal, we could get two players- 5th pick in the draft plus a high priced free agent. I would be very much opposed to this kind of deal. Just like that probably not, but if they throw in their first rounder I would be thinking about it. Trading down till pick 20 would need a massive compensation for us to do it.

That would be beyond idiotic.
And Richardson is the one with issues not Wilkerson.
No way unless the Jets throw in their 1st and 2nd pick along with Wilkerson. Even then the Jets would be moving up from 20 to 5 in the first round and be relieved of having to give Wilkerson the big contract he is demanding. The current proposed deal is horrible for the Jaguars.
