rollerjag is the one that suggested Kettle1 to me. I did also try Titos ... When you drink them as fast as I do, you don't have time to taste them, so it doesn't matter.

 

Drink faster, if you can taste it, you are going too slow.

If you don't mind paying a little extra, Chopin Potato is a good vodka. For something more along the Absolut-Kettle One price range, Luksusowa is great. Tito's has already been mentioned, but I highly recommend trying potato vodka and Luksusowa is a good one, as is Chopin...but that's in the Grey Goose-Belvedere range.

Oh, I'm just making a funny. If you like it then more power to you...it's a heck of a lot better than having to pay the extra money for the top shelf stuff. Likewise, I'm always jealous of lightweights. Less money spent!

I tried Ketel One last night.  It's definitely heavier on the palate than the Absolut, but without the lingering, almost cloying, aftertaste it had.  I haven't drank much vodka since all these 'boutique' brands came out.  I'm kinda liking this exercise in critiquing the differences.  It makes me all warm inside.
