Trade back to #11 with Chicago?

#1

Apparently Chicago really wants Buckner and IF he is there at 5 do we trade back to #11 and target Lawson/VH3/Floyd? What would you want in return?

I would want a future 2nd rounder. At minimum.

I think that's fair.

No. There are two playmaking freaks in this draft. That is Buckner and Jack. I want one of those 2.

Nah man, Buckner on the Jags would be a beast. Its one of these 3 players at 5, buckner, bosa, ramsey.

We'd probably just miss out on Jack to the Giants at #10, so I'd want a lot were I Caldwell.

At this point, Dave Caldwell will get laughed out of the draft room if he made that trade and that's all he got.

At minimum a second this year and a second next year. I'd still need an extra 4 or 5 rounder to make me take it though.

This is really the bare minimum though. It took a first and a second to go up two spots for us to draft Gabbert. I would need an additional pick or two this year and a future pick or two to go from 5 to 11.

I believe Jags traded from 16 to 10 for Gabbert.

I would ask for their 2nd and 5th this year and 2017 4th rounder. At 11 I would love Shaq Lawson and if Myles Jack drops that would be insane.

Willie Young will be 31 in September. Hard pass.

16 to 10 is very different than 11 to 5. No future first round picks involved, but it would need to be multiple picks this year including a second.

And no to Buckner. We have Odrick on the team, we just signed Jackson, and yet another five tech would be a complete waste of resources.

No thanks.

Add in a pick or two next year and subtract Willie Young.

The trade chart shows fair value, tipping in Jags favor, if the Bears give up 1-11 and 2-41.  I think I would value the elite defensive player at 1-5 more than the additional round 2 pick....but it's close in my mind.

I'm thinking that if SD goes Ramsey and Dallas goes Bosa, I think San Fran would be a good team to look for to trade back with. They go Tunsil, Baltimore goes Buckner, and we go Jack and get another 3rd (doubt the 2nd) and maybe a 4th or 5th.

Because of the present value factor,  at absolute minimum the Jaguars would likely insist on the equivalent of a 2nd Round pick in this year's draft.   They realistically could get a Day 3 pick with that if the Bears indeed want to move up for DeForest Buckner or another player.
