Myles Jack is the obvious pick

Quote:Was bored so I decided to check out what other people outside of the Jaguars bubble were saying about Jack. The opinions were interesting to say the least: Cheers for these. Certainly does make you think more about him as a prospect. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Check out Voch Lombardi's Film Session (search on youTube; I can't link for some reason) on Myles Jack. The End.....
GO JAGS!!

I highly doubt it. There's already concerns about his knee, no way will the compound the amount of contact he'll be taking by giving him snaps at running back as well.

Some scouts opinions on Jack, more opinions and some critiques in the link as well:
"He can play modern-day football, let's put it that way. That (expletive) ain't never leaving the field." Just a freak athlete," said another scout. "He is Von Miller freakish. He moves around like a DB in coverage. He has burst to close. Plays heavy. His character doesn't read as clean as Clay Matthews' but he's more physically talented than Clay. The heart, the desire, he has that." "He could start for us at strong safety and be the No. 2 running back," a fourth scout said. "He transcends today's game." http://www.jsonline.com/sports/packers/r...20691.html
Myles Jack all day. Grab Noah spence in the second and you don't even need the rest of the picks.

Our depth at CB, IOL problems, etc. also say hello. We definitely need more than 2 players in the draft here lol. I don't count on it but I would love it if it happened. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
There's another report coming out about Jack's knee stating a "osteochondral defect". Anybody know anything about this? Y'all think it's more smoke or legit?

Quote:There's another report coming out about Jack's knee stating a "osteochondral defect". Anybody know anything about this? Y'all think it's more smoke or legit? Teams are gonna drop little nuggets any which a way they can to get a player to drop. If the Jags had him tested, checked out, and knee reviewed by doctors, then they'll pick him if they want to at 5 if he's available.
I'm curious what the knee actually looks like. I'm not sure it exists anymore. He may just float everywhere.
A lot of buzz around Jaguars trading down with 49ers or Browns and drafting LB Floyd...

My whole questions with Jack really come to his play and "playmaking" abilities. Sure, he flashed in his bowl games against Kansas St. and Virginia Tech, but those programs are not what they once were. Against the best programs in his conference like USC and Stanford, he was not a game changer defensively. The only top conference team he consistently played well against was Oregon.
We keep talking about him running around making plays like on his highlights, but he doesn't have that many highlights. Over 2.25 seasons he actually only had 4 INT's (despite his ball skills), 2 forced fumbles, and 1 fumble recovery. Yes, he had number of pass deflections, but isn't the knock on Ramsey that he cannot catch. Why is that not a knock on projected coverage LB? Most of his impact was tackles for loss which most people feel would be his most average ability in the NFL. I get that a lot of drafting is projecting a player, but if we are looking for a player with immediate impact, I just don't understand how Myles Jack qualifies other than he "should be" because of his measurables, athleticism, instincts, and ranginess? |
