Charlie Campbell's Sources Say Bosa is Jags' Plan A

#61

Honestly even if Dallas takes Elliot and SD takes Stanley, I can see Dave taking Bosa over Ramsey. Like last year I was totally expecting Leonard Williams over Fowler.

Quote:My issue isn't his talent, it's just our team needs.  He'll be a great 5 technique guy but that's not really what we need.  We need more of a 3-4 OLB skillset which I am not sure if he can do or not.
What we need is pressure on the QB. If he can do that who cares how he does it.

Quote:I think there is very little to gather from a guy then when you stick a mike in their face and ask them questions they've answered 20+ times already.

Along with the rumours of Boss's/Elliot's drug use at Ohio state. Talented but I think he is risky off the field.

Agreed, Bosa actually tested better athletically, but both guys are similar in how they win against offensive linemen.

I think I'd be fine with the pick. I worry a little about his interview skills and how he presents himself but I also understand this is a bad time to judge since they are under mic & camera at all times and are not use to it at all yet. But as long as he produces on the field and doesnt have crazy off the field issues Id be good with him obviously lol.

Quote:You left out Tunsil.

I don't understand why some people think a team that just signed Kelvin Beachum last month would consider drafting Leremy Tunsil at #5.

Why does this matter at all? The guy is hilarious. Every interview is like he just finished smoking a blunt.

I'd be ok with Bosa. I hope he changes that sack celebration its pretty lame

Bosa is nothing like Werner. I see a hell lot more of Ryan Kerrigan than Werner.

Ryan Kerrigan is the NFL comparison player for Joey Bosa. I don't know why because nobody said Bosa should switch to OLB in a 3-4 defense.

Thats the question though is can he do that. He'd replace Odrick IMO and not sure that spot needs upgrading

When San Diego takes Ramsey over Tunsil, Dallas will then take Elliott, since Ramsey was their #1 choice.  They can wait till round 2 to get a good DE.  Dave Caldwell will then take Bosa or Buckner, since his #1 choice Ramsey is gone.  Jack is out of the picture with the micro-fracture surgery talk now, and I don't believe we take Tunsil with Joeckel and Bechum both on the roster.

1. L.A. - QB J. Goff

2. PHI - QB C. Wentz

3. S.D. - DB J. Ramsey

4. DAL - RB E. Elliott

5. JAC - DE J. Bosa

or Bosa at #8 if we trade with Cleveland so they can take QB Lynch.

They were teammates at Ohio State. I bet Bosa would love to play with Bennett again.

Anyone who has questions about Joey Bosa's ability to rush the passer never saw him play.

Defensive linemen rotate in and out of the lineup.   They split time.   The idea is to come at the opponent in waves, always fresh.   No one would "replace" Odrick.   Odrick and Bosa would in effect back up each other.   So the choice is between Odrick/Alualu and Odrick/Bosa.   I'll take Odrick/Bosa.

Definitely. Bosa is a versatile player. He can move around. Just like Odrick, Jackson and Fowler. Miller only plays first downs and short yardages.

Of course it would not be a 50/50 time share. And yes, Bosa would replace Odrick on the depth chart.
