Was vacationing in Fernandina, planning to move from Charleston, August 79. Got hooked up and was amazed at the crowd to watch Irsay tease us.

Convinced management that they needed a Liason with TD JAX.

Rest is history.

I always followed the team because of the likes Mark Brunnel and Jimmy Smith/McCardell but didnt become a true fan until 2005.

I was fortunate and blessed to be stationed at NAS Jax from 1993-2011.  I was never into the NFL since I was from Arkansas but once the Jags came into town it changed everything for me.  Became a huge fan and followed them ever since.  The jags can bring through so many highs and lows thought life lol.  One thing that brings memories about this board is when the drafted Matt Jones and all those Razorback fans came on board.  It was a very rough time I had to have a line under my post stating I was on this MB back in 2003 and not a fan of just one player. Don't get me wrong I was really excited when he was drafted but things went south in a few years. I wonder if any of those fans are still active. Now I am stationed at Great Lakes pushing boot camp and cannot wait for the Jags visit this year to soldier field!

Was at an Team Ticket event at the Avenue's where a drawing for an Original Jags Helmet, the one with the contested logo.

The nice Lady who won it mused "What am I going to do with this thing"

She got me up to $100. Sits in a glass case shelf at my parents house in S. FL.

I wish I had that starter jacket also.

On board since the beginning. Traveled all over via the Navy and always represented, even when I lived in Tennessee. Have even always played with my squad on Madden. The days to come will be well deserved for those of us who dealt with the heart break of 99.
