DeForest Buckner

Dark horse to go 5 to us, depending on how he does in the combine and what we do in FA. If we can get Gipson in FA, I think Buckner is the pick if he blows up the combine. He's a monster and would be a difference maker on this D-Line.

Vic Beasley blew up the combine. That's working out well.

I feel we could get better use out of #5. He'll basically be another Odrick at big end. I'll also admit that I'm not a fan of Oregon DE's or defensive players in general for that matter however silly that may sound.

Same. I can't think of an Oregon pass rusher without thinking of Dion Jordan.

I think First Round in general is too high for Buckner. He's a good player and has been cranking out a lot of good football for four years for Oregon, but I wouldn't take him until Round Two comes around.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Whoa, he's definitely a 1st round (top half of the first round even) talent. If we had a glaring need at big end I'd be fine with Buckner at 5. The Calais Campbell comps are not inaccurate I don't think. That's a damn good player.

Would rather Shawn Oakman in the 2nd or 3rd then Buckner at 5

No thanks to either one.

Not impressed with Buckner or Ogbah for that matter. I'm not sure where the hype for them comes from

Ogbah has the production and Buckner has the size and potentia. I don't like either prospect.

I agree with the OP. I think Buckner is a real possibility nobody is talking about. I would prefer a trade down and scoop up Buckner and a second round pick.

It could literally be any of the top guys.

A few days ago I pulled up Buckner and Bosa on Youtube.  Personally, I didn't want Bosa at that time BUT what i ultimately watched was Bosa throwing opponents to the ground as is he was a man among boys.  Even though Buckner has the stats, he did not appear to play with that same level of hate that Bosa exhibited.

Buckner is a soon to be DT because he's already over 290. His leverage sucks. Will not transition well as an NFL DT. He overpowered below average interior linemen. Big games no where to be found. Last two Oregon DEs Arick Armstead, Dion Jordan... Oregon has had 1 successful NFL player in the last 10 years.

We dodged a bullet!!!!

Ok maybe 2 forgot about Patrick Chung.

Ok 1 good one every 8 years! Fantastic. Sorry Oregon fans you got a monster college, monster cash flow, monster recruiting, you win a lot of games but it doesn't translate to the NFL very often.

TJ Ward, Max Unger, Jonathon Stewart, Richie Incognito, Geoff Shwartz,Kyle Long, Jarius Byrd, and Lagarrette Blount. Byrd and Blount are debatable but those others have had pretty good careers from Oregon

You were wrong, but it's not really your fault because I doubt you would've guessed 4 other teams would pass on Jalen Ramsey in the 2016 draft!
