Not getting Normon will haunt Jags

Wolfie, we added a solid corner in Prince Amukamara (assuming he's healthy) and we drafted Jalen Ramsey, who has physical gifts that Norman could only dream about. Norman's really, really good, but let's not act like we're worse off than we would have been if we'd spent $50 million on a cornerback who's not even the best in the NFL right now and blown our pick on another five-tech in Buckner.
Quote:it will come back to haunt the team. Josh Normon will lead the Redskins to the Super Bowl in 2016 while the jags have another loseing season Josh Norman would've been big for this team with the players we drafted. We would have some defense, now instead it will end up being just as bad with gus loosey goosey bradley. 4-12 this year at best. Normon could've made our rookies great players.I wouldn't worry about that. In my opinion Jalen Ramsey will become better than Josh Norman had ever been in the NFL. Josh Norman will be 29 this December, and only made one Pro Bowl (last season) yet he is being paid more than other DBs that are far more talented. He is going to okay team (talent wise) but he might regress now that he is paid in so much guaranteed money ($75 million dollar 5 year contract). Josh Norman career stats 2012 16 games played, 0 sacks, 0 safety, 7 PDef, 1 INT, 0 TDs, 0 fumbles forced 2013 7 games played, 0 sacks, 0 safety, 0 PDef, 0 INTs, 0 Tds, 0 FF 2014 14 games played, 0 sacks, 0 safety, 11 PDef, 2 INTs, 0 Tds, 1 FF 1 Rec F 2015 16 Games Played, 0 Sacks, 0 SFTY, 19 PDef, 4 Ints, 2 Tds, 3 FF Yes he had a fantastic year in 2015, but will he continue that every year from now on or be more like he was the first three years?

In addition to getting the best DB in the draft with Jalen Ramsey, the team also has corners that one could debate are going to only get better... Prince is in a prove it one year contract, while House was a backup Corner until he came to Jacksonville & had a really good year considering the lack of pass rush & lack of DB help.. much was asked from him. Prince Amukamara age 26 2011 7 Games, 0 Games started 1 INT, 3 PD, 1 FR 2012 13 Games, 11 Games Started, 1 INT, 7 PD 2013 16 games started, 1 INT, 14 PDef, 2 FF 2014 8 Games started, 3 INTs, 11 PDef 2015 11 Games, 10 started, 1 INT, 10 PDef, 1 FF The biggest problem Prince has is staying healthy (of course Josh Norman was injured too in the past missing games). Davon House, age 26 2011 2 Games 0 Starts sat on bench almost entire year 2012 9 Games, 5 starts, 5 PDef, 1 sack 2013 16 games, 5 starts, 1 INT, 12 PDef, 1 sack 2014 13 games, 3 starts, 1INT, 10 Pdef, 1 FF 2015 Jags, 16 Games Started, 4 INTs, 23 PDefs, 1 FF, 1 FR

House was fantastic for us last year, probably within the top 25% of CBs in the league. The Prince signing didn't make a whole lot of sense but I suppose he is an upgrade over what we had. He isn't a difference maker though.
LEONARD FOURNETTE FAN CLUB PRESIDENT. I WAS BEHIND HIM WHEN YOU ALL SAID HE WAS BRANDON JACOBS. QUIT HATING ON THE JAGUARS. GUS IS GONE. COUGHLIN HAS RESTORED ORDER. FOURNETTE IS FRED TAYLOR. DONT BELIEVE ME JUST WATCH.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

He isn't a difference maker though. Prince is a really good corner with healthy and excels in zone coverage, he's a perfect fit for our scheme. He can certainly be a "difference maker" on the outside, assuming he stays healthy. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I'd take a 21 year old Ramsey over a 28 year old Norman every time. House is a quality starter too, honestly I don't even know why you'd post this...
I look forward to your "heres how teh jagz can winz superb owl in this season" thread in a couple months.
Quote:37ish million over first two years. Last 13ish is guaranteed if on roster after March 2018. Ah! Thanks for the knowledge. Still! $37 million for two seasons?!?!
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.
Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!
Let it go Wolfie...why get worked up about something you have no control over??
What in the Wide Wide World of Sports is agoin' on here???

Doubt he ends up on the outside. Ramsey and House will have that covered. Prince is an average CB when healthy, which isn't very often. I'll be rooting for him obviously, but I come in with tempered expectations for him. Jackson and Gipson on the other hand had better come ready to play!

He isn't a difference maker though. Prince has a one year prove it contract (and when healthy is a very good CB), they didn't expect Jalen Ramsey to fall to them so Prince was insurance... (again only a one year contract) House & Prince will fight for the starting outside role .. as I think Jalen is a lock due to his talent alone. We show less advertisements to registered users. While Prince might play slightly better than House on the outside, I think Prince will play a lot better than House on the inside & that is why I expect Jalen Ramsey as #1 outside & then house & then prince.. but i guess we will see..
Quote:The only bowl the Redskins will see is made of white porcelain No way, Daniel Snyder will make it a gold toilet as he over pays for everything crappy.
