Bradley has been in over his head for a long time.

They treat Gus Bradley like a damn baby in that front office. I'm convinced more than ever they'll max at 6 wins this year.

I think he needs 8 wins to not get fired.

This year won't make or break Gus.   But it will determine if he keeps his job.  He could always go somewhere else and succeed as a head coach... potentially.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Even if it is make or break. You don't say it on national television in May. All that does is make it a distraction.

Exactly, it's almost inexplicable why anyone would get worked up about this.

Just watched the interview, Dave looks tired as hell.

Agreed.  He's not going to get all riled up and say "if we don't get x number of wins, Gus is done.  He'll never work in this town again!"  That's how you kill morale.  You have to backup the employees you have.

I honestly believe that this organization is taking a Tom Landry type approach with Gus.  If we win more games and keep improving, as well as start winning games that we "should" win, a .500 season may be the minimum accepted.

If we can win 8 or 9 games at bare minimum, this approach to our HC could pay off big time.  Not only for Gus, but for any coach that may step in if he can't get the job done because that shows supreme confidence from this franchise and will attract anyone who believes in this roster right now.  Last time i checked though, that was about every organization and media personality with knowledge of this potential final 53.

If Gus can get the job done, Look Out.  I also think Todd will turn this D around with the veteran players and new additions this year.  #DTWD

Quote:Any suggestions?

Quote:Nah man, Gus is capable of leading to his team to the promise land. Is Gary Kubiak in the league of Belicheck, sean peyton, Tom Coughlin. Nah man. That defense made Kubiak look good. The defense and offense of the Jags will do the same for Gus.

I do hope Gus proves he is capable.  However, the evidence is overwhelmingly against him so far.  A legit leader gets the most out of his people.  Do players love playing for Gus?  Sure (however, popularity does not equate to leadership)...  Does he get the most out of them?  Not even close, at least not yet.

It'll be Dave's job to replace him if he doesn't perform this season.  Just like Dave has nailed the drafts after his 1st one, I'm confident he'll find the right HC if he has to.

Quote:Bottom line is the Jags need a Super Bowl caliber HC.  Nothing has shown we have that yet.

lol ... talent matters a lot more.

Perhaps we can Gary Kubiak or Mike McCarthy. Ken Whisenhunt is available. Or perhaps we can pry Jim Caldwell loose.

How about the guys on this board who really kill it on Madden?

Quote:Dave Caldwell says Myles Jack was 1 of 4 players they were targeting at 5.  He also says he would NOT call this a make or break year for Gus.  I'm telling you guys that think Gus needs to win 10 games to save his job, YOUR WRONG.
My wrong what?

Talents matters...and so do coaches.  So do you believe Bradley has squeezed maximum production out of the roster each of his years here?

In other words ... you don't have a clue.

You do understand that Caldwell selected Bradley, don't you? So you think he screwed that up - but you trust him to make the right choice?

Got it.
