Curt Schilling fired over NC Bathroom law

Quote:For the record... "tranny" is a slur. So kudos to the author of that riveting blog post for revealing their predisposition. and considering it a slur shows your predisposition We show less advertisements to registered users. As you and Rollerjag have said, any traditional values or norms must be destroyed if they inhibit any person from doing or thinking anything they want. How do traditional values or norms need to be destroyed for you to accept that a trans person using the bathroom next to you or your loved ones impacts you in EXACTLY the same way a straight person using the bathroom next to you? Being transgender is a real thing. It's not some conspiracy where a bunch of people around the world are choosing to do to attack traditional values. They've existed since at least ancient Egypt and have hovered at a consistent small percentage of the world population. If acknowledging they exist and are not a threat to you or your values is going to cause your brain to melt, seek professional help.

Quote:and considering it a slur shows your predisposition Huh? If the article was written about black people and used the n word, it would show the author's predisposition. If it were about Mexicans or Jews and used a derogatory term for them it would be the same thing. Tranny is a derogatory term for a transgender person. If you don't know that, it's not shocking based on previous comments. But how does my pointing that out indicate anything other than I know trans people find that term offensive?

Quote:Meh, that's about 70 millionth on my list of things to care about these days. Just pointing out the author of the conservablog revealed their agenda by including a known derogatory term and with that, the integrity of the blog post should at the very least be taken into account.

Quote:Smiles... Why would I be? I'M not the one who is a [BLEEP] moron? How can you think you have the power to make me mad when I repeatedly call you out for being the troll you are and I telegraph your predictable responses? I might be moderately unhappy if you actually replied to any of my posts referencing comments I made and introducing some thought or fact which makes me second guess my entire position. But you haven't demonstrated the ability to read, debate, formulate a consistently rational dialogue, or pose a counterpoint which legitimately challenges anything I have said on this topic. You just troll. You're not even the greatest at that. If I know it and call you out on it, how do you think I would allow you to ever make me mad (bruh)?

I haven't read the latest posts on this thread yet. Have the little boys and girls learned which restroom they are supposed to use?
There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't. Quote:I haven't read the latest posts on this thread yet. Have the little boys and girls learned which restroom they are supposed to use? Yeah.. the one they feel most comfortable with. Because making wee wee or ploppies is not a threat to anyone unless it actually touches someone else's bare skin.

Quote:Why would I be? I'M not the one who is a [BAD WORD REMOVED] moron? You don't know what an "if then" statement is and I'm the moron? Lol. Cursing... Namecalling.... Does that pass for rational dialogue? Yeah you're mad. Just admit it.
Quote:No, and I get your point before you have to make it. I can only go by a conversation I had with my niece when she was 12 (13 now), and my own memories of my childhood, when I came to grips with the reality of African-Americans and homosexuals not being what the current societal norms said they were. I don't know how to have a conversation with an 8-year-old girl who is becoming sexually aware and has been cautioned against trusting strangers that it's okay to allow a strange man to follow her into the bathroom to stand inches away in the next stall while she is at her most vulnerable with her pants down. That's a line I'm not prepared to cross. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:You don't know what an "if then" statement is and I'm the moron? Lol.I know all about "if then" statements. If I say that the policy to allow transgender people to use the bathroom they are most comfortable with makes sense, then you are going tell me it is making women and children unsafe. If I tell you transgender people are actually quite commonly the victims of attacks when they use the bathroom YOU would feel more comfortable with them using, then you will claim it opens the door for straight people with bad intentions to attack your loved ones. If I say 21 states and 250+ cities have these policies and what you are describing just isn't happening, then you will ignore it and copy a link to a site with a conservative bias or just post some scattered response which does not address any facet of the post you are responding to. You reject facts that challenge the "reality" you have chosen. You have the most severe case of cognitive dissonance I have ever seen. I literally said I ACKNOWLEDGE one not-so-clever guy got caught trying to impersonate a woman so he could hide out in a bathroom and you twice said that I DISMISSED it. What I dismiss is that it is happening elsewhere in any numbers which would register on any marginally reputable news source's radar. You can't accept this, but warn.. if something happens you know who is to blame. Something has been happening. But only to trans people, so y'know.. who cares, right? As for the namecalling.. I assure you nothing I've called you is inaccurate or remotely as offensive as the word you called me. Liberal. (Have you no decency!) You are a troll. You have no interest (or capacity) to carry on a debate. You're just interested in thinking you're right and dumping on any opinion that calls your beliefs into question. You will respond to a logical reply with nonsensical word vomit and mock the reality of what a trans person or their family goes through because ignorant, incapable people like to make fun of things they can't understand. I can respond freely to you because I have seen your pattern of manure in a dozen other threads. You are only interested in trying to reinforce the imaginary world you have built up in your head using your vast network of questionably accurate conservative blogs as the only window to your soul. Heaven forbid you actually have a conversation with a trans person. You've spoken with immense ignorance and offense on this topic. You have no interest in any education which might shatter your fragile psyche and choose to believe in disproved boogeyman scenarios or pull from an endless grab bag of improbable "what if" statements (each dumber than the last) that are less likely than Mark Davis ever getting a grown up's haircut. Though you'd love for me to say you make me mad, the truth is you embarrass yourself almost daily with some of the statements you make. How can I be mad at a toothless fool? Why would I care enough about you to let you make me mad? It's cute you think we're at that level though..

Quote:Though you'd love for me to say you make me mad, the truth is you embarrass yourself almost daily with some of the statements you make. How can I be mad at a toothless fool? Why would I care enough about you to let you make me mad? It's cute you think we're at that level though.. Lol... you're mad. It's okay. You must be REALLY mad to deviate into the whole "My pride won't let me admit that i am mad while i strike out blindly in obvious anger." 1.) As i have said repeatedly, the link that i offered demonstrated more than one person and one instance of people abusing the concept of gender neutrality in bathroom selection. The university of Toronto had to SUSPEND their version of the program. Target came out as the most ardent supporter of this policy and within the last seven days they had to drag a peeping tom out of the ladies room. As i stated earlier I really don't have a problem with trans people being allowed to use the facilities that they deem appropriate but the more and more time passes on I become less and less comfortable as i am confronted with the reality. 2.) Whether its "straight people with bad intentions" or bonafide trans people committing the acts against women and children is actually irrelevant. If we put the most vulnerable in our society at even greater danger just to assuage the comfort of .1% the population then that's insane. We can't let every peeping tom or sex predator into a bathroom just on the off chance that a legit trans person wants to use a restroom. There has to be some kind of safeguard, and you have proposed none, in fact you have just dismissed the idea that any is needed. You think that straight men are so demented and evil that they will beat up and violate any trans person in a bathroom but then at the same time don't see how someone could abuse the open choose your identity at will system that you propose? But i'm the one with cognitive dissonance? That's frankly laughable. 3.) Words like moron toothless fool etc. get you absolutely no where with me. Moreover i find it ridiculous that someone who uses this kind of name calling and other profane language would accuse me of mocking or ridiculing anything. I don't care whether someone is trans gay or any of the sort. I care about the net impact that the decisions we make as a society make on the safety of our citizens. I don't have to resort to name calling or swearing to make my points. The fact that you do makes your arguments weak and demonstrates how insecure you are in your own positions. 4.) You also said a few posts back that "You've never heard of" a Trans woman who was attracted to other women. I find that interesting considering the most famous trans woman in the country fathered several children and is currently dating a female. You can't hold that gender is a non binary concept and then present the idea that sexuality is. you can yell scream kick and throw your toys all you want. It doesn't phase me. Never has never will. You can go on bloviating about indian spirits and ancient egypt until the cows come home. If you're not willing to acknowledge the real unintended consequences of your proposal then you aren't taking the issue seriously. And if i am to take your comment from above to mean that you want to extend this gender fluidity ideology to children then that is something i cannot forgive.
p.s.- that incident you alluded to at Target was easy to find (do you have stock in Breitbart?)... and didn't take place in a bathroom.
You continue to prove you want the boogeyman to be real so badly, that you don't even care whether the actual event matches what you're flailing your arms screaming about. THIS is cognitive dissonance. You believe what you want to believe, regardless of whether or not it's what's actually being said.

Marginally literate?
Incapable of admitting you are citing things that didn't happen? A troll? Not worth the time it took to post this? All of the above (and then some).

Quote: How is the above example any different for an anatomically female, who identifies as a female, yet is attracted to females, sharing the restroom with females? Does the presence of a body part make one more of a risk, even if someone who does not have this part share similar desire? We show less advertisements to registered users.
