about the need for football related drills during minicamp in the aftermath of Fowler's injury?

 

Welp...looks like that guy may have been right.

 

According to PFT, Jaguars rookies won't do much during the minicamps, following the Dolphins lead.

I think it's a good idea.   By the time these guys are drafted, they are worn out from the college season which was immediately followed by the Combine, private workouts, pro days, and so on.   They probably could use some rest.  

 

Besides, the time is probably better spent in meetings and walk-throughs, anyway.

Yeah rookie minicamps aren't worth it.  Light drills and meetings is what's appropriate at this stage.

I don't follow the Dolphins, but our rookies not doing much has been talked about before I heard this "news" regarding Miami. It shouldn't be a surprise, given Fowler's injury.

Yeah this is a no brainer.

Rookie minicamps offer nothing of benefit for the team and have cost us dearly so far.
