Joeckel isn't moving to guard he dont have enough sand in his pants to handle the power inside. He is already getting trucked by bull rushes at left tackle he would probably crumble at guard.

 

 

At 6-6, Joekel will lose leverage. Now he's a better run blocker as an OT than a pass blocker, and for that matter is surely a better run blocker than Beachum, but Beachum is only 6-3 helping him to keep his leverage against shorter DTs.

I'm not sold on Bernadeau or Shatley, so I'm super concerned about the LG position. I believe Linder will do an excellent job at Center, but we're very thin at OG depth and other than McCann we're going to be hard pressed to find a reliable starter opposite him. I was hoping this would get addressed via the UDFA pool, but it just seemed like we were only interested in finding OT depth. I found that pretty odd. Hopefully one of the lesser known guys can step up or maybe we can sign a decent OG that gets cut from another team. We're pretty loaded everywhere else, but OG is weak. McCann has to stay healthy or we're in trouble.

Anyone else think he's potentially the best player on the ENTIRE team? He's been dominate nearly every game he's played as a guard. If he can be 1% of that as a center it's like having a younger/more athletic Alex Mack on our roster.

Oversight. They have Werner as a OLB and has th same roster number as another DE.

I've never trusted the official roster's position designations. They still have DRob as a RB/WR despite the league asking the team to pick one.

How is the oline weaker?  With a healthy Beachum the online is a good bit better.  Bernadeau is likely an upgrade to Beadles, a healthy Parnell is also a huge upgrade.  No doubt is Linder an upgrade to Wis

If Linder can make the transition, that would be awesome. Center is a much more impactful position than guard.

 

A good center can increase the effectiveness of both guard positions.

I don't see how it's slightly weaker when Kelvin Beachum is leaps and bounds better than Joeckel, Bernadeau is at least a lateral move from Beadles, and Linder could be a probowl caliber center. If anything it could be significantly better.
