I'd be completely fine if it was just a month, but now there is a chance he's out for 4-6 months, and that's not good.

90% just 4-6 weeks.


If it's not a major tear, which most reports indicate it's not, he won't need the full repair surgery. That rarely happens unless you completely jacked up your knee, which most agree is not the case.

Obviously I'm not doctor, but I'm guessing micro-fracture surgeries aren't as terrible as they used to be.  They aren't new anymore, and they constantly get refined.

 

ACL used to be just short of a career-ender at one time.

Somehow I'm glad he got injured and it was minor. The alternative for us is that he would suffer a season ending injury come mini camp. Now he can just chill for a while.

Had we not already lost fowler last year and he beasted for us it wouldnt seem so bad. You cant deny you felt that sense of dread when you saw the thread title.


Its not so much hysteria as a beaten down feeling. I saw the thread title and felt like most do "really what the f". Bortles is the last 1st round pick for us that genuinely means something or hasnt been mired in injuries , off field incidents or just sucked in almost a decade.

Just want to point out that last year, JT80's finger was supposed to be a minor thing and we were told he'd be back quickly.  The dude was out like 6 games.  I'm not gonna believe Ramsey is back untill he actually straps up and plays on Sunday.

 

As of right now, he's got a knee injury that requires surgery.  Who knows how long he'll be.  I guess if we see him playing with the first team come August and he's putting on pad for preseason games, we'll have dodged a bullet.

 

Untill then, I'm just gonna assume it's a 4-6 month thing best case, and a season ender worst case.  That way, I'm not gonna be any more disappointed than I am right now.
