In fairness, it's not as though it was reported Ramsey had a twisted ankle.

We're talking a torn meniscus, here.

Granted, depending upon the injury, players have been known to return from it pretty quickly. Furthermore, if what I read is true, statistically, it was always more likely to be at the lower end of the recovery period than the longer. But there was still an outside shot he could miss 4-6 months.

Ramsey got the second opinion, and they didn't know for sure it wouldn't be worst case until today.

I don't necessarily characterize those who were worried about it as "nattering nabobs of negativism," just fans who want the best for the team, which means the lack of injuries.

Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

Not sure if I would categorize BklynJag in this way...

It was reported as a minor injury from the start. The second opinion confirmed that and got the ball rolling on the rehab process.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Doesn't TMD also like in the New York area? Hard to believe him and Bklyn aren't the same person. They are both fry cooks...

They're entitled to express an opinion, just as I am. The difference here is that they whine and go immediately to the worst case scenario when the opposite is warranted.

TMD had some better syntax and sentence structure. They might be related, but not the same. But, then again it would be easy for TMD to pose as a moron

That's true. Eventhough his thoughts were way out there and unpopular, they were atleast well constructed.

Hold on there...most assumed/presumed it was a minor injury without knowing where the tear took place.

The two doctors I heard on 1010xl, Kevin Murphy and Steven Lucie, said the seriousness of the injury and the length of time associated with the recovery from that injury depended upon the location of the tear.

Statistically it was probably going to be the best case scenario, but not a slam dunk.

Even with the best case scenario, he's going to be out 4-6 weeks.

What "minor injury" do you know that keeps a player out that long?

An injury to the same area caused Myles Jack, a consensus top 5 pick, to miss the last three months of his final season and to drop all the way into the 2d round of the NFL draft.

That's an odd fate to befall a player with a "minor injury."

Adam Schefter Verified account ‏@AdamSchefter Doctors told Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey that this surgery on his right knee is expected to sideline him six weeks in all. Jaguars will take it.

this! I think FBT and the collective who disagree with him get into a nasy negative cycle of argument that really leads no where productive. In all fairness both parties have good points but its just the way they go about it that really makes me breakout the popcorn or just shake my head and realize I've spent to much time on the internet.
