Supplemental Draft
|
The "red-headed stepchild" of NFL drafts is coming up. Has anyone heard of any players putting their name in the hat? If a guy, say for instance, a good LG put his name out there, would Caldwell pull the trigger and sacrifice a future pick to shore up the spot. Hell, not even limited to LG. Is there any area that would warrant a supplemental pick? People LOVE the NFL draft but we hardly ever hear about the supplemental draft at all.
If anyone has any tidbits of info or thoughts, by all means, fire away!

Has anyone even declared for it? Usually something's been published by now if there's anyone in it.
It was in July last year. Usually you don't hear anything about it until a couple weeks before it is to occur.
The Supplemental Draft was a much bigger deal in the 80's when guys like Bernie Kosar, Cris Carter and Rob Moore were selected. It was not unusual to see a first round pick used. Aside from Josh Gordon, there aren't any recent highly thought of supplemental picks.

Isaiah Battle was taken by the Rams in the Sup Draft last year.

Quote:Jared Gaither. To bad there isn't a Gaither level LT available in this year's supplemental draft. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:To bad there isn't a Gaither level LT available in this year's supplemental draft. Gaither? The guy played for three teams in five years and never started all 16. No thanks.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.
Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Quote:LOL, why? I was forced to watch a lot of Ravens football in 2008-2009 he was pretty dominant until the injury vs the Patriots.
I'd take an UDFA Peters/Collins over supplemental Gaither.
