So, I'm reading in the newspaper today that 'experts' are concerned over the recent outlawing of legal highs. They've stated that most users become who dependant on them are young and homeless, outlawing these drugs are said to have adverse effects and make these users violent.

So I'm assuming we just make all drugs legal then? Hey, let's make opiates legal 'just in case'...

Seriously though, my experience at work brings me to the conclusion that some drug users (be it legal highs or harder drugs) are just as/more predictable whilst intoxicated than not. Naturally, some drug users are a lot more relaxed whilst intoxicated.. it's a lottery.

When people tell you that they are showing up for a cookout/party, you plan the amount of food around that, and then ten that RSVP'ed don't show up.

My wife is from a large family and has a tendency to over-plan anyway. We have an ungodly amount of food left over because people bring side dishes as well. I'm scared to open the garage fridge for fear of something tumbling out. Guaranteed a decent amount of this is going to have to be dumped out. Seeing as a good amount is home made, it doesn't have those yummy preservatives that the manufacturers put in.
