Jags Minicamp Report

Quote:You can see Parnell was out there - but not taking contact - hand clearly in cast.  Participated quite a bit despite the no contact rule for him.

Looking at that picture, who cares?  It's all supposed to be non-contact for everyone anyway.  What I want to know is, who's the girl?

...and is there a better picture of her...

You know, for research purposes.

80% of what I talk about is nonesense.. the other 25% is made up statistics...

Quote:Why is this name a shock to me? I can't recall anything about Evans. Where did the team get him from?
4th round pick by Jets in 2014 - WR out of UCLA (i think)

Missed rookie year due to injury and was waived - nice pick up by Caldwell

Yeah I just read that off the homepage. Seems like he's got good qualities. Man, the WR corps is packed this season.

EDIT: I found this highlight reel of him in his NCAA days. the catch around the 1:05 mark is rather impressive.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

You're right he does. Maybe its just the lack of pads though.

When we were talking receivers before the 2014 draft, I brought him up in a thread concerning WRs after round one. I think I said I liked him in the third.

He definitely had no problem getting open versus Amukamara today.

Quote:They are both annoying to some degree, but at least Oehser can come up with some halfway-decent content in his blurbs even if it's clumsy.

Sexton just opens his mouth and spews "super-obvious information, homer-talk, homer-talk, homer-talk, more super-obvious info......"
He's basically useless to anyone that even remotely follows the team. Oehser will actually inform us on rare occasions with  relevant news.
. I prefer Oehser or Shadrick over Sexton but I don't think you can take Oesher or Shadrick seriously. I think there pretty funny but not everyone likes there since of humor.

He does normally wear that pad around his waist/back during games that makes him look a little heftier

IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

My impressions of him at UCLA was as a speed/deep guy.

Were those impressions accurate or mistaken based upon what you could see today, or was there not enough info for you to make a determination of that sort.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

I think that's accurate, but his speed doesn't carry over to the big boys league as effectively.  I couldn't really get much from today other than his hands seemed more steady than last year and he made nice technical cuts to get separation.

Quote:Apparently Peyton Thompson has been a beast. Looks like Evans could get the axe.

I liked him last year when he came in, he blitzed well too.

Good to hear. Hoping he can become another 3rd round beast (Caldwell is starting to string those together)

Idzik might have had some kind of influence. I know he left NYJ at the end of 2014 but I'd imagine his scouts were still in place for that draft.

You can see how stiff Joeckel looks even in still frame.

Think we should get Monroe back.

Believe that's why we are trying to move him to guard. Idk if he's strong enough though

Guy has entire off-season to become a man and comes back as an immobile pile of dough. Sad.

Joeckel struggles against both speed and power, there simply isn't a whole lot he does  "well'. He's just not very good
